Stevie R & Parisinos lands on the Playground’s 37th reference with Ep flooded with dark magic, mystical chants and trippy atmospheres. The release is composed by 2 original mixes alongside 2 delightful remixes from the Romanian duo Khidja and London based artist Mytron.
This launch was inspired by recent events, by the transformation of the way of life around us and the ability for music to guide us through wandering adventures.

The first track ‘Tekes’ is based on the old life, more meaningful and personal; slow analog repetitive percussions, traditional greek instruments and old movie vocal samples, setting the scene in an old circus that seems to be winding down after years on tour.

Khidja takes that feeling and goes further, delivering a mystery ode which explores the ruins of that old circus leading us into the unknown.

‘Yiare’ in contrast is a late night screaming track where dancers can let go of their inhibitions and express themselves.

Closing this story we have the Mytron’s remix, which gives us a hopeful ending, taking us all to the dance floor to exorcise our sorrows.

Multi Culti seasonal balance series continues with Equinox II

The EP kicks off with a beautiful balearic gem from Italian musician Umberto Vitiello paired up with the amazing Donato Dozzy. It’s a spellbinding journey, one sure to be cherished by Tuluminatti ‘ritual’ DJs as well as authentic shamans around the world.

Ofofo flies solo on the positively-ebullient ‘Unlock the Future,’ striking a rare note of lightness in it’s sublimely ethereal groove. Instant sunshine!

Flip it over for the funky, badass bassy bounce of the mighty Diegors, a name not heard enough since his glory days on early Comeme. He’s back in top form and this one is an effortlessly cool slice of groove.

Next up, Multi Culti wizard Nicola Cruz delivers a breaks mix of previous cult single Aima. It’s a wiggly modular fun-fest that showcases his endless evolutionary bloom as a super-producer.

Finally, a brand new project from Brazil’s Philippi (of Deewee and Fatnotronic fame). Ubaruh is an anthem designed for Mexican nu-disco dancers. Pinche funky disco!

Bridging the gap between the psychedelic world-beat of newly launched sister-label Multi Culti and Turbo’s forward-looking techno and house stylings, these four tracks offer distinct yet consistently straightforward takes on the tribal trance-out. 

Visionquest-native Clarian’s icy-cool ‘Inuit’ kicks things off with a super hypnotic groove… the perfect soundtrack to an acid-ice-fishing trip gone right and an optimal DJ tool for the very early or very late hours.

La Mverte looks to probe the soul and seek out the listeners inhibitions. He has done so over various EPs and his 2017 LP, The Inner Out, all while laying down mesmeric live sets. A skilled writer, composer and guitarist who also records his own live synth and bass, his sound is an expressive one that always draws you into the darker corners of the club.

Salvation comes with ‘Mind Fair’, a classic and powerful bit of dark disco with haunting leads and metallic hits making for a rugged and shadowy groove. This is another comprehensive and visionary EP from La Mverte.
