Pop Pigs formed in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, in 1987, and were originally active until 1990. We played hard pop with soul. Initially around our home town, based at the legendary Stage Door venue. Championed by the Leeds fanzine scene and national music paper Melody Maker we  progressed to the national venue and university circuit ...and split up. We played hundreds of gigs over that 3 year period, but never chasing a record deal, we never made any records. We did however record a few studio sessions, and there are quite a few live bootlegs kicking around still, after 25 years. In December 2012 we began working together again on some new songs.

SHARPEN STROKES is a project of the musician, composer and producer Matthew Strokes. Focused on composing soundscapes and movie scores, Sharpen Strokes is a voyage through synthesizers experimental ambient music

"Threshold Consciousness" is Sharpen Strokes’ debut full-length album published at the end of 2017, followed by various releases and a new upcoming EP in 2019.
