This time around we welcome the talent of London based DJ and producer Talal. His Releases have charted in techno, electronica and chillout reaching #6 on Beatport. And with Airplay on Ibiza Global Radio, Kiss FM, Ibiza Sonica, Friskyradio and support from Adriatique, John Digweed, Maceo Plex, Petar Dundov, Sasha, and Solomun.

The first track for us of this emerging artist is a dark Progressive cut in the form of a track called "Night Beach". From the moment it starts you are in… fully in, there are no half measures with this piece of music. The driving magnetic bass groove evokes the light and an energy that is primaeval, you can feel it radiating through the track. The breakdown offers you a delicate side, a place to rest quietly before you are lifted again and taken away with the force of the production and this superb track ticks all the boxes for us.

And now to the remix where we have Italian Born Nihil Young aka Less Hate, who has served us up a crisp and polished Nu Disco remix with all the glitz and glamour of a Manhattan dance floor. Using the Distinctive bass as the thread to link back to the original, and adding crisp claps, chiming chords and epic keyboard solos, the track comes in and out of the bass into a quality touch of hi-energy music, a deviation from minimal and tech-house music he may be known for.

Returning to the label we have our great friend Mark Dedross with a stunning double A-side EP called "Northern Quarter" and accompanied by the track "Shaman". We first heard the skills of this producer on the second release for the Voodoo and Prayers. This time Mark proves once again why he is one of the industries hottest and most sort after talents with a string of labels requesting his music, we are grateful to have him with us going into the future and with more releases planned for on imprint, a place for him to flourish.

Northern Quarter builds with a panned swirling bass line, full of crisp transcending middle eastern Mizmar clarinets and haunting vocals, moving in and out of layers that evoke arabesque images and Bedouin nights. A track that demands a place in the main room with full energy on stand by. Sweet spiced smells and a warm breeze transport you to heady lands that are full of eastern promise, kicking off the first half of this blistering EP.

Shaman is just pure magic, inducing you into a trance-like state. Crossing over to the other side to meet the spirits where you will find the answers to some of life's questions. Full of tribal vocals and warm chants lifting you up and down through the passage of time. This driving deep thumper of a track allows just one thing. A path to other worlds. Driving claps and precise percussion, raise the hairs on your neck. This track is real magic and medicine and compliments this double A-side Ep perfectly.

Darkersound - Imperial Highness
This time round we welcome Darkersound aka Russ Pattison to the Voodoo and Prayers with his first debut EP entitled “Imperial Highness”.
Russ has been in electronic music for 25 years originally as The Voyd & Noize Corporation but always writing, producing and creating music through a Blade Runner tinted pair of glasses and being massively inspired by Vangelis and Jean Michel Jarre. With a mantra of innovation and non-conformity linked with a love of keyboard playing, he is an ideal artist for us. Fast forward to present day earlier this year VP artist-producer Mark Dedross listened to a couple of Russ’s tracks under the guise of Darkersound & was impressed enough that they remained on his playlist on repeat for a number of days before being forwarded over to Moojaa and so begins the next part of the story.
“Imperial Highness” in its original form was initially written by Russ as a lullaby to help his baby daughter get to sleep and this early version still has its original form to a degree in the breathtaking “Lillyana mix” which would grace any film score or could be the soundtrack to an amazing sunset.
With a melody to raise your frequencies to higher levels coupled with a long deep baseline, the main mix is then lavishly spread with touches of breakbeat, that lift up the original melody to new heights.
This and the Main Mix combine all the elements to produce a track of epic proportions and an amazing Epilogue to any DJ set, a truly one piece of music that would leave any crowd wanting more, but would also send them off with love and happiness in their hearts, we stand by the music we release on this label and with this track we believe its a life-changing piece of music. When music is organically pasted on and finds its place it's a beautiful thing and we are very grateful that universe aligned for us to present Darkersound and this track to you, and we welcome Russ to the tribe.
