Colombian DJ and producer Felipe Gordon delivers his first solo release on Toy Tonics with his 'Teusaquillo' EP, which features the acid-tinged deep house cut aptly titled 'Acid Party At Teusaquillo'.

After contributing to the Toy Tonics 'Jockey Jams' collab EP last year, Felipe Gordon's first solo release on the imprint showcases the sounds that have made him one of the most exciting talents to emerge from the underground in recent memory. Over the past few years he's graced labels like Quintessentials, Lovedancing, Forbidden Cuts and Nómada Records, and now continues to build on the momentum with another quality release showcasing his warm, emotive and captivating dancefloor cuts.

'Teusaquillo' EP, which comes complete with remixes by Seb Wildblood, Retrogott & DJ Qualle and Pontchartrain, is out soon.

Strasbourg based imprint Bande Magnetique’s 2nd edition of their ‘Various – Grand Est vol. 2’ compilation features a diversified collection of 21 artists burgeoning in the Grand Est region. Meteoryhtm Recordings stalwarts, Clearvision and Caslau, provides the Bande Magnetique compilation an ambient tune in ‘Medery Planet’. The terrestrial bongos rolls in and out of the track on a sunken bassline that contrasts with ethereal harmonies which soars into the sky… like carbon escaping the sedimentary rocks into the atmosphere.

‘Medery Planet’ is available now as name-your-price on Bande Magnetique’s bandcamp otherwise you can pick-up their limited edition K7 cassette.

British producer Aroop Roy (@aroop-roy) flexed his record digger muscles to track down 'Tabala Mouv', an ultra-rare Zouk record from the mid-80s, in order to revive it for today's dancefloors with an official reissue on his own Vive La Musique.

Here Mixmag premieres Aroop's own reworking of the original, which features a boosted tempo that flips the iconic track into an irresistible groove with universal appeal to house, disco and Balearic music fans. Without stripping away the core of songwriter and producer, Maurice  Agad's original, Aroop's version is a worthy compliment that will give new life to the iconic track.

The 'Tabala Mouv' reissue, which also included the original as well as a rework by Truccy and Aroop Roy, is out soon.

Two of London's most exciting new forces link up as @objectblue releases her four-track 'REX' EP on @lgsrec.

Originally intended to be the London-based producer's debut release, 'REX' has been a labour-intensive effort from object blue, involving a total scrapping of original demos back in December. Inspired in part by King Lear, it unfolds with a Shakespearean sense of narrative energy, channelling wild emotions into finely crafted cuts that simmer. 

'(time to) WORK' is the first techno track she ever wrote, showing a characteristically unique spin of the genre, weaving an Aaliyah sample soaked in metallic reverb and palpitating percussive lines into the mix.
