A little something different to close out 2025

One summer night I returned from my bike ride and had this weird idea to try and make my first ever breakbeat track. So I sat down to make it and I almost finished it in just two hours. I needed a couple more hours to get some details right, but overall this is the fastest completed track that I made in so many years, felt very refreshing to not be stuck making one track for eternity haha.

"Fact Check" lends some influences from 00's breakbeat and PlayStation 1 era music. The message behind this track is that in the current times of fake information and AI, you shouldn't take anything at face value and always do you research first.

For this new Premiere, we have a track by Sound Synthesis (aka Keith Farrugia) from the upcoming EP "Soul Of The Droids" [UKX13] on the French Label : Ukonx Recordings.
The track we have chosen to premiere is entitled ‘Electronic Slave’ because we are all electronic slaves !

Sound Synthesis is the alias of Keith Farrugia from Malta. He started releasing electro music in 2009 on the Paul Blackford’s label Militant Science, and after a break, he is back behind the machine! 
Today, this project focuses more on infused melancholic sounds to electro bass driven music.
This EP is made of 5 tracks, and it includes a collaboration with Datawave (Mechatronica, Crobot Muzik ) and to conclude the release, Deemphasis (owner of Ukonx Recordings) experiments a remix of one track.

The EP will be available as digital format on the UKONX Bandcamp but also on the major distribution channels, such as iTunes, JunoDownload, Spotify, Amazon and Google Play.

VCS2600 has been in the game since the late 90s and his long out of print debut EP on Rikos Records is a sought after item of electro history. His second release was on the Swedish electro establishment Stilleben records. Both EPs are digitally available on his Bandcamp: https://vcs2600.bandcamp.com/

Apart from the two full length EPs he also contributed to a few other Stilleben releases and his timeless remix of Faceless Mind - Ocean Movers was featured on the Kern Vol. 04 compilation which was curated by the Detroit heavyweight DJ Stingray.

We Are keeps the groove flowing as a more evolving and mutating hook delivers a more ominous and foreboding track. Canyon Of Time closes the EP on a deeper, break-y tip as his use of a varied sonic palette shows his flexibility as a producer
