@loveintfestival has linked up with @test_pressing to launch a new label. The inaugural release comes from @fantastic-man, the Berlin-based Australian whose music has been played by everyone from Aphex Twin to Bicep to Gerd Janson and many more.

Love International make good times happen in far flung places, whilst Test Pressing make good times happen physically and in the digital sphere, a meeting of like minds and shared tastes, all bases covered here. Together this collaboration has been releasing compilation album from the likes of Gatto Fritto, Beautiful Swimmers and Shanti Celeste, and this new label project unites recording artists and designers in a meeting of music and art.

On the ‘Cloud Management’ release, Fantastic Man teams up with Alexander Papoli-Barawati, a German/Filipino/Iranian graphic designer and art director living in Berlin. The striking and playful graphic design is in tandem with the music, which runs from the beautiful piano–led Balearic sounds of ‘Cloud Manager’ to the floating breaks in ‘Lounge Wizard’, the warped chug tempo in ‘Psychic Monthly’ and the beautiful acid bubbles of release finale, ‘Time Apprentice’.

Phase Group continue their exploration of the fringes of contemporary electronic music with a release that brings together two separate projects born from analogue hardware improvisations. 

‘A Given Moment’ presents the dub-laden, mind-bending and noise-driven music of Brussels-based artist and Vastechoses label head Lostsoundbytes, and the lo-fi, early morning lysergic experiments of Lowspace, an unearthed, forgotten collaborative project by French DJ and musician Low Bat and Dresden-based producer Heninspace.

This is music that takes you deeper into the vortex, made for dark and smoke-enveloped clubs and cosmic day-break afterparty moments. On the A-side, Lostsoundbytes continues his prolific output of masterfully crafted bass-heavy and dub-wise analogue machine jams, while the B-side presents two lost psychotropic experimental recordings by Lowspace made in 2016 upon a visit by Low Bat to Heninspace’s Dresden studio.

URBAN DISTORTIONS is so exited to present the upcoming release "Lo-Fi Electro Lush" EP by KRYPTON 81 from Denmark that will be out on the 17.05.2024.
This amazing EP has been crafted and mixed in the analog domain and spiced with gritty sounds from vintage gear synth.
Nowadays pulling a perfect mix with software is quite easy, but the perfect sound is not what the ear is craving for.

Krypton 81 had its humble beginnings as a two-man project conceived on a cold November night at Copenhagen Central Station in 2013. The first release hit the scene in 2014, featuring Electro-infused music inspired by space travel, science, and occultism. Numerous subsequent releases followed on labels such as X0X, Lunar Orbiter Programme, Blind Allies, etc. With various live appearances across Europe, the group gained momentum.
However, in 2022, they decided to part ways. Now operating as a solo endeavor, Krypton 81 is still alive with a lot of new music in the pipeline.

TL PREMIERE : Krypton 81 - No Fun At All [Urban Distortions]

The Realm is the second single from 'BOOR EP', a collaborative electronic project between Bristol-based producers Bex (WOMEN*S PRODUCER GROUP founder, Down To Earth Collective/Noods Radio resident) and LOOR (Former alt-j member, Joshua Idehen collaborator).

With Bex & LOOR's debut joint release on Elicit Records (label from Kessler & Koboro) in January, this follow-up EP explores the process of producing.

Taking inspiration from the game "Consequences", each producer started a track and then handed it over to the other to take in any subsequent direction. This process was repeated until a compelling form emerged and the final tracks were developed.

This is the recording of my set at Festival Sinsal, on illa de San Simón (Galiza), on July 26th, 2024. I had a really special time playing in a zone I’ve been enjoying this last months, exploring new sounds in a fresher, summery mood. It's a dance set, with a lot of queer energy in which I feel like I'm flowing in the mix, without seeking perfection and letting myself go 🫧🫧 An hour of mind-blowing sound waves that stimulate your senses, spinning in different directions, changing your mood but with a propulsive energy. They say the devil has many faces and that may be true but who would have thought that all these faces could be so attractive…. so captivating and so strange. For this collection of different versions of tracks from the critically acclaimed ‘Circus’ album (2011), Black Devil Disco Club has persuaded others to reveal their devilish personas whilst also revealing more of his own.

And what a mysterious collection of music we have….from NZCA/LINES synthetic romance, Junior Claristidge’ futuristic space jams, Ed DMX’s cold wave chills, Leo Zero’s Star Wars disco, Eckman’s Mozart in Orbit opus, Sauvage’s amazing freak folk hoedown and of course the Devil’s own dubs, which strip away the original layers to reveal a glittering diamond skeleton. Including “Stay In Dub” a pure 6-minute long journey into the devil's world, a psychedelic bridge between past and future.

Since his re emergence in 2006, Black Devil has proven himself to be a master of electronic music, ‘the Ennio Morricone of disco’. His music has been described as being like ‘Joy Division produced by Giorgio Moroder’ and it came as no surprise when so many legendary figures agreed to work with him on the original ‘Circus’ album. You’ll find some of them like Nancy Sinatra, The Horrors, Afrika Bambaata and Jon Spencer on this album….lost in the ‘Magnetic Circus’.
