Welcoming Zara to Passing Notes episode 178. Having recently shifted geographical gears from the nation’s capital to the capital of dance, Zara’s suite of musical engagements in the form of original productions, DJing and label curation (Kinesis records) are fast taking shape and turning heads. Following two impressive singles on Phenomena and Pure Space, Zara celebrates the release of her outstanding debut EP on the now-Berlin based Salt Mines record label. Gliding gracefully into her place in the production world, Zara’s debut EP titled ‘Di Plastica’ combines the basslines of contemporary drum and bass, the driving percussion of deep ambient techno and the psychedelic sprinkles of 90s trance. Drawing from a range of influences, Zara has quickly established her own boundness sound which boasts her undeniable unfettered creativity. Her approach to DJing and mix-making further highlight her creativity and penchant for drawing out expressive qualities in music.
