Luigi Madonna's record label, Contempo drops an EP by JSPR who delivers a raw and analogue techno release with trippy atmospherics.

JSPR is a Dutch artist from Rotterdam who has previously showcased his driving style of hypnotic techno via labels such as Truncate and Illegal Alien Records.

Contempo is a platform that allows Luigi Madonna to show off the more underground side of his music taste, and all four of JSPR's tracks are well suited to the record label's concept, which fuses raw energy with abstract sound design.

"Thick Vapour" opens the release with menacing synths and high-octane percussion before the dark and dystopian groove of "Electromagnetic". "Deadbolt" is a percussive track with industrial sounds and a trippy synth line, and "Darling" closes out the release with its murky atmospherics and rolling percussion.

Trailblazers Clouds & Tommy Holohan announce new ‘Hard Target’ moniker, label and debut release EP ‘Echoes’. Arriving on 27th October the project takes influence from early breakbeat-hardcore and 2000’s trance. Paying homage to their musical roots across the 4 tracks, ‘Echoes’ sees them continue their individual perseverance of pushing the boundaries of quality electronic music, now together as the Hard Target trio

Title track ‘Echoes’ is a pure trance anthem. It unapologetically embraces the euphoric and hook-heavy sounds of classic trance, transporting listeners back to the heydays of Godskitchen, Gatecrasher, and Dave Pearce's iconic sets. ‘Idol Sound’ is a dark & moody techno track with early 2000’s tech-step and neuro drum & bass influences. A super groovy hardcore production ‘Roadblock (Rush Me)’ infuses distorted vocal hooks from early '90s London pirate radio adverts; a relentless journey through the vibrant history of hardcore rave culture. Sampling an old hardcore track, ‘Pluto (On a Trip II) progressively transforms into a techno masterpiece featuring everything from exhilarating breakdowns, a groovy core and a touch of analog warmth.

Needing few introductions in their solo projects, Tommy + Liam & Calum as Clouds retrospectively, are known for being visionaries through their innovative & expert approach in DJing, production & everything in between.

Each perversing & pioneering the direction of the hard hitting electronic music, they first crossed paths at Dublin’s Hangar in October 2015 when Tommy was a 17 year old resident DJ for Techno & Cans and Clouds were kicking up a storm with their productions & sets. Their relationship burgeoned as the three shared inspirations from legends such as Mauro Picotto, Tiesto and each had a keen eye for the distinguished Sensation parties taking place in Amsterdam. This initially sparked ideas of collaboration, starting with impromptu B2B’s at esteemed venues such as Sub Club & La Cheetah in Glasgow. In turn, this led to them producing edits together and as their musical chemistry prospered, culminating in their fixated collaborative odyssey.

The result is ‘Hard Target’ a vitalising & forward thinking project that simultaneously celebrates their deep-rooted love for the early 2000’s music scene & their certified contemporary approach to production.

As the electronic music landscape continues to evolve, Hard Target exemplifies how music can be innovated by drawing from cherished influences while pushing the confinements of nostalgia.

Title track Moon Lander opens with a serious intent. Playful stabs glides across carefully constructed percussive elements that keep the pace fast and sharp. Fieldstone hits with a more hypnotic, space like vibe but still retains ANNĒ’s unique drive. More clinical sound design is at the forefront of St. Strings with expertly controlled drums driving the rhythm as slowly evolving atmospheres and stabs deliver the attitude. “prima sort” is the classiest psy-trance ep that at times mimics the house groove but also comfortably sits in a
techno set. some tracks are new and some were previously released but they sounds so fresh and timeless that
you couldn’t tell. this is a kind of record that will stay in your bag for many years to come to only grow on you even
more with each listen!

jurek przeździecki has a highly unique approach to music and drawing inspiration from the best, classic traditions in
psy-trance and techno. his music exudes authenticity and respect for the roots of techno, reminiscent of a time
when techno was more about the music than just the tempo.

jurek's creative process is exceptionally organic and genuine. his tracks emerge from improvisation, meaning each
piece is fresh and unique, reflecting his personal state of mind and emotions at the moment of creation. he records
long segments, which he then meticulously arranges into specific compositions.

this method of working makes his music not only eclectic but also deeply personal: each track is a kind of musical
sketch that has been carefully developed into a full arrangement. the result is music that is both spontaneous and
well-composed, a rarity in today's techno scene. he combines tradition with modernity, capturing both the history of
techno and his personal interpretation of the genre.

jurek przeździecki is a warsaw-based electronic music producer raised in the 90s, influenced by new-beat and
postindustrial legends such as spk or psychic tv.

for over two decades he has balanced on conventional genres of techno and psy-trance and throughout the years
polished his own original, musical language whilst developping his own vision of uncompromised and refined
electronics.

as praecox, he conquered the psy-trance scene in the 90s by introducing industrial sounds and references to metal
music into this genre. he is a co-founder of the legendary group bigwigs, with which he has toured nearly the entire
globe.

this groundbreaking musical project has permanently marked the history of psy-trance music as a radical revolution
that shattered all cultural norms.
