''Push the Button” is the third single from Dutch Canadian electronic music producer
apaull’s third studio album, Gunfactor. The 10 track LP will be released in April 2026,
was executive produced by Abe Duque and is on the furnace room records label.

house remix.
The Gunfactor album explores the themes and pathways towards fame and infa‑
my. Fame can be achieved through exceptional talent, with happy dollops of good
fortune. Inexplicably, fame (infamy?) is sometimes achieved through violent acts.
“Push the Button” raises the voltage: piston‑tight drums, sweeping synth lines, and
claustrophobic lyrics punch cleanly through the strobe. Written in part about being
stuck in an elevator on the way to an interview with a major label, apaull intones,
“Hey I wanna check, I wanna check on you. Push the button and follow through”.
Junior Sanchez is one of house music’s most respected DJs, staying at the cutting
edge since the 1990s. Raised in New York City’s club culture, he was DJing at Peter
Gatien’s Club USA and Limelight as a teenager and signed his first record deal at 15.
He later founded Cube Recordings, releasing music from Rhythm Masters, Stuart Pri‑
ce, and Sébastien Léger, and co-produced Felix da Housecat’s Kittenz and Thee Glitz.
Mentored early by Armand van Helden, Sanchez helped launch the Da Mongaloids
collective alongside Todd Terry, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Chri‑
sto, Roger Sanchez, Laidback Luke, DJ Sneak, and Basement Jaxx’s Felix Buxton and
Simon Ratcliffe. As a producer/remixer, his credits span Madonna, Ariana Grande,
Lenny Kravitz, Katy Perry, A Tribe Called Quest, and Azealia Banks.

"Theory of Mind" opens with a fast, pulsing beat and synth chords, setting an energetic tone. It features a variety of electronic sounds, including shimmering pads and percussive hits, which are layered to create a dense and driving atmosphere.
