Born and raised in Potsdam, Photom got very early in touch with Techno, which is still a big influence on his productions. After entering the first Dubstep night organized by some locals, he fell in love with Bassmusic.

While organizing events in Potsdam and Berlin with the Valian Kollektiv, he was introduced to music production and since then, he has been hooked.

Now residing in Denver, Colorado, Qilin boasts 16 years of experience crafting bass-heavy soundscapes. This passion ignited at the young age of 16 when he began DJing, evolving into production at 21. Deeply influenced by the roots of dubstep, dub, reggae, and hip-hop, Qilin curates a signature sound that shines through in his work.
