Following on from T.R.A.C.'s debut D&B album on V Recordings in 2017 we're really excited to reveal a thirteen track remix of the album: Life In Remixes

Anyone who has ever visited Brooklyn will have seen its wide mix of cultures, ethnicities, and renowned musicians living within some of the most historic neighbourhoods in the world. It’s birthed many great MC's and artists of all genres, one of those being T.R.A.C.

Recognised internationally throughout his career as one of Americas top flight mic handlers, T.R.A.C. has shared stages with an ever growing list of A-class DJs such as LTJ Bukem, Roni Size, and Goldie (to name a few). Whether it’s his silky smooth verses, or his drive to deliver meaningful lyrical messages, T.R.A.C. is artist who has been quietly putting his American stamp on the UK D&B scene. None more so than with the release of his debut D&B album in 2017, Life in Motion, which boasted an impressive list of features including the likes of Calibre, Serum, Lenzman and Bladerunner. Four years on, we’re proud to unveil ‘Life In Remixes’.

The remix project sees another huge roll call, thirteen A-Listers put their spin on the original album including the likes of Benny L, Artificial Intelligence, Need For Mirrors and L-Side. We’ve already seen six chart-topping remixes peeled off as singles, receiving huge praises across the board, including plays on Radio 1, Rinse FM and more.

Perseverance is an often use word to describe a person overcoming their struggles. A battle conquered a day. In today’s music world - while all the glitz and glamour can be rewarding for some dedicated striving artists, too many don’t maintain longevity and are quickly forgotten. Yet in the middle of it all are those few who stay patient, true to themselves, and focused on their respective musical pursuits. Brooklyn’s own NYC underground artist, T.R.A.C., has climbed to new heights throughout his years of experience in both Hip Hop and Drum and Bass. A masterful wordsmith, his talents are proven in his work with legendary producers such as Marc Mac (4hero) and Lewis Parker(UK). As an MC, he’s rocked stages with names like LTJ Bukem, Roni Size, and Goldie  to name a few from the lengthy (and growing) list of A class DJs. Recognized internationally throughout his career in the Drum and Bass scene as a premiere stateside born MC with the roots of a talented Hip Hop artist.
Featured on a slew of Lewis Parker projects, T.R.A.C. released his BBE debut Hip Hop effort, “The Network”, in 2011. The album was produced by legendary 4hero artist Marc Mac, and received underground critical acclaim, along with 6 star rating from OE magazine. T.R.A.C.’s sound is described as bluesy, soulful, easy listening, yet still Hip Hop.
Already respected in the world of Drum and Bass, T.R.A.C. has recently garnered even more attention via a plethora of well-received releases with respected labels. His work with Shogun LTD. Jazzsticks (Paul SG), Intrigue Music (Ben Soundscape), and V recordings are notable within the genre. Tunes like “The Partys Arrived” (Dave Owens), and the now classic “Higher Ground”(Submorphics), have elevated the artist to a higher platform and created much anticipation for his debut DnB album with V boss Bryan Gee. After recent release of “the V singles” compilation, an energetic buzz is rising and T.R.A.C.’s time has come to shine. 2017 is shaping up to be an amazing run for this talent. Let's be honest. How many seven year old junglists do you know of? Well, the boy who would become Command Strange was just such a child. Growing up in Kazakhstan, the lure of his older brother's jungle and drum 'n' bass proved irresistible, and exposure to the music of icons like Roni Size, Aphrodite, and LTJ Bukem laid the foundations for what was to follow.

By the age of sixteen Command Strange was already releasing music. With a focus on the melodic side of DnB, he quickly got the attention of the scene's elite. The likes of Bryan Gee, Jumpin Jack Frost, Goldie, Hype, Bukem, Fabio & Grooverider regularly supported his productions, and with airplay on prestigious stations like BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra, his reputation as one to watch was secured.

And he hasn't slowed down since.

Releases on Fokuz, Metalheadz, Good Looking, Integral, Grid, Horizons, Hospital and Med School have proven his versatility, with the Command Strange sound evolving to encompass harder, nastier styles alongside his pristine musicality. In a scene where releasing one artist album is a major achievement, Command Strange's back cat already includes three of them, “Soul Booster” and “Episode 91” on Fokuz, and “Joy”, his team-up with Intelligent Manners, on Marky's Innerground imprint.

Now exclusively signed to the V Recordings family, and with a reputation as a deejay that's seen him hype crowds across Europe and beyond, Command Strange has racked up achievements that are distant dreams for many artists twice his age. Even so, as he continues to develop, collaborate, and innovate, there's no doubt there are many more incredible things to come for Command Strange. Watch carefully.
