During 2013-2015 I was making a lot of 90’s style Boom Bap and hip-hop and created classic songs with a few artists in that style. Some you may have heard of, and some that may surprise you.

Today I unlock the vault and present the third edition of VAULTVOCALS: A series of handpicked songs I produced over the past decade (2013-2023).

TroubleFallingAsleep [FULL TAPE]

So since "TroubleFallingAsleep" I fell into another creative block. I experience them at the worst times and they end up killing all my momentum and inspiration.  I end up doing dumb things like attempting to delete my instrumentals and consider quitting music. Long story short: It really fucks with my head.

I was talking to one of my boys the other day about this, and he said:

"When your going through a beatmaker's block, your mind and skill levels are basically leveling up, because when you go back to making beats, your gonna make some bangers". That really stuck with me. 

After three months of not producing, I had a breakthrough day which resulted in creating these three tracks, within a space of 5 to 6 hours. 

Take this as the "loading" screen to the next level of my production.

Makes sense in my head.

A lot of things have happened since i released Loading. To be honest everything went downhill. After dropping "The Recharge” with YK (@theofficialyk) & 2 Hour Conversations with Vanati (@VanatiWoods), my laptop died on me. I lost 5 years worth of my work and I am still struggling to come to terms with the reality. 

Apart from that, I became frustrated with the fact that my music had a lack of exposure. That’s what birthed these tracks. Even though some of them were made months ago, I feel that this project signifies the depth of my production, and also has an underline theme of ‘frustration’.
