Updated on 2/17/12,  I added a rain stick and changed the lyrics and the vocal melody in the first half.  I cleaned up the muddiness in the vocals and drum and subtracted some convoluted sounds as well as placing EQ on some of the field recordings.  You know, shit I should have done in the beginning.

This song is comprised of many, many field recordings and my voice, along with a drum and a rain stick.  I wanted it to sound as natural as possible.  I didn't want a lot of polished vocals that are tight and on pitch (not hard for me).  I really enjoy the untrained, natural human voice and a lot of that quality can be found in First Nations singing.  

I didn't know I was writing this song at the exact same time my nephew was being delivered via emergency c-section.  That makes this song sentimental to me now.

Do You Love It

Vrum is a band from Jyväskylä, Finland. It has mainly been a solo project of Sami J, only one gig having been performed with a larger group. Vrum’s musical style has been very indie oriented, although the 2014 album Serum can be easily classified as instrumental krautrock. Vrum released its third album, Pew Pew, in March 2013. The second one, ;__;, was released in March 2012. The first album, The Debut Album of Vrum, was released in winter 2011. Various EPs have also been released in between the albums.
