This installment of our White Label series comes from 18 year old London composer, songwriter, guitarist, singer & violinist, Tom Misch. We felt the need to list all of this in the description, because each track is such an audio masterpiece. This one is for everyone, but true fans of Dilla, and smooth, mellow, R&B inspired hip-hop beats, will definitely enjoy this release.

"Basically this EP is me attempting to make instrumentals that will effect people moods in a positive way but also make people think, all produced and recorded by myself in my bedroom. With "Ode To Delia" we intend pay tribute to Delia Derbyshire and the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. In addition to the sampling aspect, we wanted to incorporate the Radiophonic Workshop's overall approach towards creating and manipulating sounds. 

Created in the late 1950's, the members Radiophonic workshop crafted beautiful futuristic sounds with the use of tape-recorders, by cutting up individual notes and manipulating the sounds in various ways. Thus, laying the foundation for rudimentary sampling techniques with very limited equipment. Without a doubt, the work of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop has had an enormous impact on modern electronic music in general. To worship their legacy and influence, we decided to dedicate the latest installment of our "Ode To..." series to Delia Derbyshire and the BBC Radiophonic Workshop

Woody Latuheru a.k.a KA-YU (DTW/AIM) is a young producer, percussionist and dj from a little village in Holland called Oosterwolde. His roots lay in Holland and Kilang, a village in Ambon, one of the Islands of Maluku. His love for music and beatmaking goes very deep and the music he makes comes right from his heart and soul.

In his later years, he began listening to Hip Hop and R&B which shaped his sounds. At the age of 14, he started making sample based beats and taught himself the fundamentals, sampling jazz, soul, funk & r&b.

In 2014 he really started to focus on making good quality music and released the song ''Forbidden Fruit''. This was a eyeopener to him to push his music career to a next level.
Currently he is working hard on his beats and is also focussing on being a percussionist.

KA-YU's inspirations to make music comes from God, his family, the Art In Melodies collective and his ancestors. but his biggest source of inspiration will always be his father who taught him how to play rhythms on several percussion instruments.

Be on the lookout as he's currently working on a EP, ''Yung Kayubesi'' due out later on this year.
