Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, The Martinez Brothers are two of the most consistent and recognizable names in the world of house.  Stevie and Chris continue to push themselves creatively in the studio collaborating with global and Latinx artists such as Rauw Alejandro, Fuego, Rema and Tokischa. 

In 2023, we find The Martinez Brothers in a moment of creative renewal, kicking off an exciting new chapter in their illustrious career. They continue to cast a wide net with their collaborations, stepping into the studio with a new generation of artists like Eliza Rose, Tommy Genesis and Mochakk.  

The brothers are furthering their love affair with Ibiza in their second year residency at Hï Ibiza voted #1 Club in the World, after 10 years as residents at Circoloco, Ibiza. Paying homage to the isle that catapulted them to stardom, it was in Ibiza that they met Riccardo Tisci who brought them in to do the music design for his iconic years at Givenchy (2014-2015). 

Last year, the brothers headlined London’s hottest show of the year at Beams warehouse alongside Skepta, who debuted his first house music DJ set in his hometown.  Alongside this, they played the Met Gala afterparty hosted by Dua Lipa and at LOEWE’s Paula’s Ibiza pop up at the Sheats-Goldstein home in LA. 

In 2023 stage hosts include Kappa Futur Festival in Turin, Italy, Panorama Festival in Southern Italy, Eastern Electrics, London, Fabrik, Madrid, Audio Obscura at Amsterdam Dance Event and III Points Festival, Miami. 

The duo are avid sneaker collectors and vinyl record collectors, from all eras of Latin salsa, disco, funk, soul, jazz house and techno.

SIMON MATTSON BIO:
DJ, producer and promoter who worked very hard over the last ten years to gain his reputation and become one of the most influential and talked about people on polish clubbing scene. From early years thanks to his dedication and passion for music he grew his skills from being a local dj to become one of the residents for the most important and prestigious clubs in Poland ‘1500m2’ and the summer place ‘Temat Rzeka’. He shared decks with big names in music industry such as Loco Dice, Nic Fanciulli, Oxia, Robert Dietz, Guy Gerber or mighty Pete Tong. 

Local fame and DJing itself was never his priority. Investing all his time and efforts into development of his production skills was the key element of his current success. First breakthrough came after winning an international Beatport remix contest of Oxia ‘Harmonie’ track. Not only he won a release on Agoria’s InFine Music but his remix turned to be one of their bestselling tracks for over the year leading to its re release on the ‘InFine Beatportdecade Techno’ compilation alongside tracks from industry big guns like Carl Craig, Dominik Eulberg, Avatism or dOP.

Although the competition was a breakthrough it was no coincidence. Before that Simon has released his music on world renowned and legendary labels including Strictly Rhythm, Lo:Rise (Defected sublabel), Rebirth or Night&Day Ibiza Music. Add a collaboration for Italy Moxa Club with one of the most iconic house producers Sandy Rivera aka Kings Of Tomorrow and you have a straight recipe of his success.

Currently Simon Mattson is linked to the fast growing Re:Fresh Your Mind (R|Y|M) imprint and its head honcho’s Skai and Gorge known from 8bit Records in collaboration with Nick Curly. This truly feels like home and no wonder, he is one of the family now releasing alongside Emanuel Satie, David Keno, Markus Homm, Mario Aureo and of course Gorge.

In 2015 Simon has released an EP for R|Y|M with a stellar remix from DJ Le Roi. Next came 2 remixes, first invitation from Spanish label ExpMental Records and the second one due for the release in August from Bondage Music, where you can find artists like El Mundo, Mihai Popoivicu, Tuccillo, Karmon or NTFO. Just after when he delivered remixes the labels invited him to play at one of their events during Off Week Barcelona alongside label artists. This year Simon also took part in the biggest worldwide DJ Competition ‘Burn Residency Ibiza 2015’ and found himself in top 5 finalists. During the competition he had a chance to show his skills at clubs such as Sankeys Ibiza, Vista (Privilege) and Lips Restaurant in Playa den Bossa where he was warming up for Darius Syrossian, Sante and Sidney Charles at the ‘Do Not Sleep’ pre-party.
