Little is known about Finnish producer @djdjrubiorubio, except for the fact that he debuted earlier this year on Toma Kami’s imprint Man Band with his ‘Western Medicine‘ EP. Now he steps up to self release his first ever album through his imprint Hottest Name On The Market.

We take a slowdive into the fuzzy analogue loops of new French musician Akim Drml for a cassette-only release rich in ambient arpeggios pulsing from modular synths.

Across 8 tracks (and one inspired electro reinterpretation from Gated regular Sound Synthesis), Drml offers up addictive loops and atmospheric textures, mostly beatless but always emotion-rich, obsessive and cathartic in equal measure.

All tracks were recorded in a single take without overdubs, leaving room for pleasant surprises and imperfections. Drml's influences range from Rival Console and Alessandro Cortini to Suzanne Ciani and Caterina Barbieri, but Analog Resolution carves out its own space, nostalgic and melancholic but forward-moving, always forward.

A few months ago we introduced to Jen Hartley aka Yushh @yushh with the inaugural release of her label Pressure Dome. Jen established herself as one of Bristol’s most exciting new faces on the scene. As a local selector, she's turned her attention to the groundswell of artists the city has to offer. She launched Pressure Dome @pressuredome - a platform for uncovering the city's talents at the cross-section of bass music and UK-ish electronic sounds.

On this second release, the Pressure Dome crew are back in full force with something fresh out of the lab. A cold fusion of other-wordly rhythm and pulsation, a blueprint of Bristol's sonic underground and its uncharted voices of vibration. 

From chuggy dancehall rhythm and energetic breaks, to intricate, atmospheric techno, electro and grime, these fifteen broken-beat builders take us on on a journey through crafted cadence and dynamic metronomy. 

Wanting to give back to the city they live in and one that inspires so much creativity in those fortunate enough to access opportunity, all proceeds from PDCOMP001 will go to Caring in Bristol, a homeless charity providing services and shelter for those most in need.
