Crimson Child - God Rays

This EP is a collection of songs that I have removed from the upcoming album I've been working on. My vision and the direction of my album have changed so much since then, so these are no longer cohesive to the rest. They're all very old songs (up to 4 years old), and back then, I was a bit more all over the place with my production and mixing skills. Nonetheless, they still hold plenty of sentimental value to me and deserve to see the light of day. With that in mind - this EP was just a piece of my growth, it's not meant to be listened to as a cohesive body of work. However, the album I've been working on, is a body of work that I've been very intentional with and I promise it will be more deserving of your expectations.  

In the description of each song, I have briefly described what they mean to me. The rest is up to your own imagination and personal experiences. I hope you enjoy. Thank you so much for listening.

This track is about paranoia, which can be seen as "you vs the world". Who can you trust in a world filled with doubt and endless possibilities of deceit and misperception? You are never safe. Empty Your Mind is about the mind crashing, mental breakdowns. As the legend Bruce Lee has mentioned, you can either flow or crash. Thoughts are like a streaming river, always passing by, but if you don't take a step back to observe, before you know it, you could be drowning in that very same stream.

IT’s OUT, my best song yet! Reanimate has all the elements I want in a song, emotion, intensity and complexity. I’m so so proud of this song, so thank you so much for listening! This is the type of music I've always dreamed of making!
The lyrics from the vocal part goes:

To explain the lyrics: Reanimate is a snapshot of a future where nothing ever really dies. Everything is remade, reused, reanimated – until the old flesh is gone, and a new era begins. At least that’s the story me and the vocalist had in mind when working on the song. It’s all up for interpretation. You decide what you want it to mean to you.
