McKinley Claire is a singer-songwriter who makes every kind of music from saucy cowboy rock n' roll to “sad girl bastard music”. Every instrument that is used in her three albums –including the drums, banjo, synth, mandolin, ukulele, guitar, bass, piano, accordion, melodica, harmonica, cello, and flute– is recorded and played by herself from her home in Richmond, VA.

In addition to playing a few dozen shows with Moths, a Richmond-based rock and roll band, through 2016 and 2017, Claire has been studying music for 12 years, writing music for 8, and recording for 3.

After publishing “Island of Misfit Boys” as her third full-length solo album in March 2018, she is now focusing on her collaborations with other artists with the hopes of touring by late autumn, and remastering her two previous albums “Punflower” and “The Fall of Autumn and Spring”.
