About this Journey: 
Arrispigghiativi (wake up in Sicilian language) is taken from the title of the opening track of the mixtape that is a wake up call coming from Lampedusa, a small Italian island between Sicily and the African continent that has become known since mid/late 90’s for the immigrants (mainly Africans or from Middle East) crisis that is still ongoing even today with most, if not all, EU politicians treating the issue with hypocrisy and bigotry while people are dying (about 20.000, the ones we are aware of, only in last 8 years) during the journey to their dream of a better life.
Back to “Arrispigghiativi”, the track, is a cry of despair distressing about the environmental problem we are living today. Taking inspiration by it, Al-Jive Mestizo prepared this moody, sometimes dramatic and intense mixtape where the wake up call is “virtually” echoed around the Mediterranean Sea touching all sides of it and beyond, in the hope that people will wake up and get together with the same motive: the shared love for mother Earth that has, or should have, no flags.
Alberto (Al-Jive Mestizo), Sicilian himself, has always been passionate in the history, multicultural relationships, arts and music coming from the Mediterranean area where he grew up and lived until mid 2000’s. It was a normal step for him to bring this influence into his music selections, selections that cannot be labeled in a defined genre, but are, today, definitely embracing the whole planet and its multi-culture, mixing ancient and modern; in his own words “a mestizada”.

Like life itself, and *journeys* in special states, where the consciousness is travelling, are never linear, so is this mix. 
Get into a deep connection with yourself, guided by your own beautiful light, look at your shadows. Everything want's to be seen, let everything come up, without judgement.
Go through the valleys of your inner world, of your true reality. Recognize the illusions and find a warm and beautiful way to climb the mountain again. Go through the darkness, embrace it, feel it and let the vibration of love lift you up again to integrate what you just experienced.
