Ever since its public debut on my 2021 Showcase, my edit of Kehlani's "Gangsta" is an edit I had been working on for over 2 years. I had always wanted to create an edit of "Gangsta" ever since the soundtrack was featured in the first film of "Suicide Squad" in 2016. I had always wanted to see what it would sound like if it was turned into a heavy bass music track, and so years later, I decided to make that happen. I hope this dark yet cinematic and powerful edit finds a special place for you as the audience, and as always, enjoy this piece as it is the first release of the year.
