Born in the Bay Area and forged in the heat of Arizona’s bass scene, Jakob (better known as offLift) seeks to share his love of dark, aggressive midtempo bass with anyone who’s willing to listen. His soundscapes, inspired just as much by The White Stripes and My Chemical Romance as they are Rezz and Social Kid, aim to create more questions than answers. Whether the music conjures images of deep space or the depths of Hell in your mind, one thing’s for certain: no one leaves an offLift set quite the same as they were.
