Basslines hit like collapsing bulkheads, percussion slams like hydraulic presses, and vocals bleed with distortion — the sound of psykers chained, the oppressed rising, and the underhive dancing in defiance. From the land of the rising sun comes this funky forest EP by Shiibashunsuke. 3 deep and atmospheric stories await you here. Years ago the scene in Japan was big but very mainstream orientated with huge events and festivals, which collapsed around 12 years ago. What remained were mainly lovers of the music who went through a lot of difficulties to follow their passion and built up the scene again from scratch. Within that scene a small but strong breed of Japanese forest artists and music-lovers established themselves, which after years of hard work started to get more and more recognition on the international level. One of these artists is Shiibashunsuke. Time to step out of the silence!

Shiibashunsuke - Out Of Silence (MiniMix)

South African born Andy Wilkinson aka W17K0 started DJing in 1995, playing hard house, trance, techno and electro around Cape Town from 2005–10.

Retiring from DJing in 2011, it was only after he caught the psy trance bug that his passion for music was reignited and he started spinning psy trance in 2017 with the PsyPiratz crew. Since then he’s more than caught up for lost time, quickly becoming a regular on the London circuit and playing at Eden Festival, Black Pearl, Own Spirit Festival in Spain, Little Forest Festival and Vortex in South Africa and Modem in Croatia. 

He has recently joined the Woo-Dog Recordings family as a label dj complementing their talented rosta of producers and djs. His selection of tough and chunky tunes with a dash of funk guarantees to get the dancefloor bouncing.
