We're hoping you don't need spelling out why this was great, but just in case you have missed an entire movement in electronic music:  Logos 's 2013 album  Cold Mission  on Keysound was one of the defining records of the new instrumental grime generation, and along with  Mr Mitch 's  Parallel Memories  is conclusive proof that this sound can and does work in the long-play format. We're naturally excited about a new release, and the new EP on Different Circles, complete with freaky ambient sections and a  Shapednoise  remix, doesn't disappoint in the slightest. It's  out on the 18th May .

London-based, Liverpool-originating producer Slackk's a real grafter, so a release on R&S Records is fully deserved. 

The list of labels he's already released on is pretty tidy, from Numbers with debut EP 'Theme' to two bits on DJ Haus' on Unknown To The Unknown and an album on Local Action. Each and every time you're guaranteed something spanking and he's up there with the best for vibrant and wobbly grime instrumentals.

Premiere: Slackk 'Posrednik'

Warm, washy chords collide with bubbling, subterranean acid and crunchy drum work on this subtly epic debut from Swiss newcomer, Tissu, with his trippy delay-drenched synths giving everything an astral-aquatic quality. 

Ground Loop opens with a yearning phase-flange anomaly, instantly bust open by an incessant acid loop and dubbed out crystal stabs. 4 #2 takes a similar sound palette and reworks it into a desperate ride through downtown Motor City, all jerking clattering hats and poppin' 303. 

Things get ramped up on Unmanned Vehicle, where Tissu goes for straight rawwww along with his signature aquatic pads. Finishing off on a much more subdued note, Up is an homage to the original club culture - deconstructed and redefined through a water-filter gif-based tumblr page, refracting ideas into a collage of subtle house tropes.

A highly respected DJ and producer with releases on his own DVA imprint and Hyperdub, which will finally see the release of the killer 'Allyallrecords' track alongside previous guest Addison Groove and features in this mix. He's done a mix in 3 sections, keeping it chilled in the first 20 mins with new tracks from Cornelia and Dean Blunt, then the middle 20 with tracks from his club set by some new or under exposed names like Lokane, Shy One and Neana, before the final 20 which features artists like Zora Jones, DJ Die, but mainly bits from Teklife artists. Look out for some new productions from Scratcha DVA himself in the first 40 mins.

Fast-forward six months, past the devious Seth Troxler 12" collaboration 'Love Song', and the Swiss DJ and producer's back on the label with 'The Believer', three belting tracks with plenty of vigour.
