Scott Edwards better known as D.E.F is a vocalist, rapper and multi-instrumentalist based in Nottingham. His output blends traditional hip hop roots, punk rock, alternative indie and a touch of grime. 

Born in North London, D.E.F was influenced by his late Grandfather inheriting his musical blood, who taught him to play the guitar and piano. D.E.F would go on to discover that his mixed roots of Cuban, German, Scottish and Jamaican would be an indisputable musical force to his artistry. He moved to France at age 19, where he would learn to write and perform bilingually, develop his music and grow through life experiences. D.E.F is a dynamic, compelling and no-nonsense storyteller, sharing personal and collective perspectives. His pure but sharp penmanship and explosive energy invite audiences to experience an unorthodox musical thought-provoking trance with addictive beats creating a presence that is hard to resist to connect with. 

An unmatched creative flair means no studio session or on-stage performance is the same because of his versatility in his craft revealing an unmissable synergy between him and music. D.E.F is working on new projects set to be released in 2020.
