日常生活の中でかき消されてしまいそうな、パソコンのRAMのような記憶や経験に対して素直になりたい。いわゆる「日常」の中に生存するための生き血があるのではと思って。ドストエフスキーの地下室の手記での世間の物のシステム化に対する批判があるように、日々の儀式的なやり取りの中では自分とか世界の核となるものが潜んでいると信じたいかな。そう言った自分の中のシステムを見つめて、結果がこの音楽の断片。個々では不完全で、一つの集合としての意義もあれどそれもまた違う不完全さがある。段々と憶測しつつ進む。または進まない。

I want to be obedient to the memory and experience like the RAM of a personal computer that seems to be drowned in my daily life. I thought that there is live blood to survive in the so-called "everyday". As criticisms of the systemization of things in the basement of Dostoevsky are criticized, in the daily ritual interaction I would like to believe that there is something that is the core of me and the world. Looking at the system inside of me that said so, the result is a piece of this music. Individually incomplete, there is significance as one set, but it also has a different imperfection. Continually making speculation. Or not go.

Я хочу, чтобы память обросла плотью и стала подобна плотной атмосфере вокруг меня — будучи пустым телом меж густеющими воспоминаниями, я позволю им наполнять меня и опустошать раз за разом. Я хочу существовать с осознанием более вязким, чем мне позволяет постоянная память  — быть подобным ОЗУ моего персонального компьютера, что с глухим всплеском падает в течение моей жизни, утопая в безымянной глубине. Я воображал, что нужна бурлящая кровь, чтобы выжить в так называемом «ежедневном укладе». Находясь среди упорядоченного хаоса повседневности, перетекающей в вечное, я хочу верить, что есть что-то, являющееся ядром и моего «я», и всего мира. This non-linear story is meant to influence your dreaming and sleeping state. I am curious how an external narrative, played throughout sleep, affects the listener’s dreams and sleep patterns.

Thank you to the poet and activist Shindo Matsushita for letting me sample their voice, to Kaori Yasunaga for the artwork and @grasps for mastering!
In the process of Israel's genocide, immense amounts of suffering and destruction increasingly vex our efforts to quantify, mentally process and transform them into meaningful action, instead drifting into noise. Shindo Matsushita, in their interview with the author Kanto Stephanie Ota, describes how they were always surrounded by children when they were in Gaza and how Shindo feels they are in the presence of these children when they engage in the practice of writing. The name of my track, “Neverland Frequency", refers to the act of attuning yourself to this wavelength, engaging with a place where a disproportionate number of young people are denied the opportunity to ever grow old.
Proceeds go to the Gaza Solidarity Fund’s’ “Clean Drinking Water for Gaza” campaign (which Shindo is also involved in).

イスラエルによるジェノサイドの過程で、大量な苦痛と破壊を自分たちなりに理解し、建設的な行動に変えるために具体的なものとしてなんとか整理しようとするが、それが段々難しく感じていって、徐々にノイズに化していく。サンプリングした松下真土と作家の大田ステファニーかんととのインタビューで新土氏がガザ滞在中にたくさん子供にあったことを話し、そして文章を書く行為で出会った子供がまるで見えない形で自分のそばにいる感覚があると語っている。この曲の「Neverland Frequency」と言う名前はその波長に合わせる行為、つまり大人になれることのない数多くの若者が住むガザに思いをはせる行為を指してつけている。

WA?STE is the moniker of Felix Idle--producer, artist & Valley Spirit Recordings label head, based out of Melbourne, Australia. He makes music that characterizes both the curiosity and content fatigue stemming from long hours online. He rips the euphoric guts from trance, gabba & other hard dance genres, re-integrating it into slower but no less ambitious instrumentals. This aggressive eclecticism forms a bed for his saccharine vocal melodies & gently blurred-out lyricism. He has supported M.E.S.H., Air Max 97, Lone, Holly Herndon and Eternal Dragonz' V Kim, as well as having collaborated with Mya Gomez and Ptwiggs on newer productions. 

Hollow Vessel is his first release under this current moniker. The title refers to the feeling of being an observer to events in one's own life, of acquiescing to fate.

Peramen! A Compilation for Belarus

“Change! Our hearts demand it. Change! Our eyes demand it”, sings Kino’s Viktor Tsoi in “Peremen”. This song may now be heard on the streets of not just Minsk and Grodno, but also Babruysk, Brest, Gomel, Mogilev, Pinsk, Vitebsk and what – at least to a foreign onlooker – looks like countless Belarussian cities and towns engulfed in protest. Following years of Alexander Lukashenko’s rule, another rigged election, omnipresent violence perpetrated by the state apparatus, censorship and draconian laws, the people have taken to the streets en masse. This is not the first time the Belarusians are out to protest, but the scale of these disturbances is unprecedented. Also unprecedented is the fact the rallies are led by women, who head the peaceful marches that have spread onto the streets of Belarus. Workers, miners, teachers, employees of the media and the Minsk underground as well as artists from the Belarusian State Philharmonic have all joined the protests. They stand against lies, demand the transparency of public life, and access to power. As they rally against repression and torture, they expose themselves to the same.

The artists featured on the Peramen! compilation also demand changes. While we cannot physically join the protesters on the streets of Belarus, we want to offer them at least this form of support. Our thoughts are with our friends – and with all the people who have been arrested, beaten, and humiliated. We join in the grief of families of all those murdered in the protests.

The compilation covers a broad selection of genres: from club music, through classical and experimental classical, to noise, ambient, and rock; from pieces that were composed to ones that were improvised or inspired by folk music. Its geographical scope is similarly broad, spanning Belarus, Czechia, Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine, USA, Russia, and Hungary.

All proceeds from Peramen! A Compilation for Belarus will go to #BY_help, a grassroots initiative offering aid to victims of repression, established on the wave of arrests that shook Belarus in March 2017. The funds will be used to pay fines, unlawful fees imposed for being held in detention, medical costs and lawyers.

The idea for the compilation was developed by Elena Sizova, Minsk-based DJ and producer. Peramen! A Compilation for Belarus was prepared with the help of the Radio Kapitał collective.
