Brooklyn, New York is ripe with new hip-hop talent right now, and one of the latest groups to emerge from the borough is the quick-spitting, ganja-toking, enlightened duo of Flatbush natives known as The Underachievers. Comprised of rappers Issa Dash and AK, they created a buzz last year by dropping a string of compelling rap videos, including the one that recently garnered over one million YouTube views, “Herb Shuttles,” all of which impressed famed producer Flying Lotus enough to sign them to his Brainfeeder record label.

Marcus B. Goode is a self-produced singer, songwriter & musician. 

Raised in Alaska by wolves, he learned to play the guitar from a parakeet. After giving up on his initial dream of being a real estate agent, he decided he would fall back on music. Legend has it, Marcus B. Goode records all his music with a paper clip. The whereabouts of Marcus are unknown, but his music is randomly delivered to music streaming services via fax machine. 

Marcus has been rumored to party hard. The music that he creates has been described as “pretty good” and “needs work”. Rolling Stone Magazine describes it as “something they’ve never even heard before”. Perhaps this speaks to how illustrious Marcus B. Goode’s work is. Webster’s Dictionary defines work as, “activity in which one exerts strength or faculties to do or perform something”. 

Marcus’ favorite artist is Howlin’ Wolf, and his older brothers name is Johnny. Though he is very renowned in the world of bowling, he continues to make music and considers it “a protest against global warming”. Marcus is very active in the LARPing community and has been nicknamed, “the Nick Lachey of LARPing”. From being kicked off the Bachelor in 2014 for drunken behavior, to dressing as a member of the Blue Man Group in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Marcus is a humanitarian who continues to provide acts of nobility for his fan base dubbed “The Wizards” to enjoy.
