LAND WAVE

Recorded on April 12 in session 2, this was the 4th spontaneous idea that Brian Kunz (Drums) and I came up with.  We started the recording software and began to play and see what would come out.  A week later I laid down another lead line, otherwise, it's just as we recorded it.
I set the RP500 to '68 Plexi Lead with a Greenback 4x12  with a stereo delay (Pong) to catch and repeat the full phrase so it built from there and sounded like more guitars.  I set the RP255 to distortion ('01 Dual Rectifier w/Vintage V30 4x12) with no delay.

Guitar: Fender USA Strat w/Texas pickups
Guitar Processing: Digitech RP500, Digitech RP255 (guitar signal direct split into both processors, each with a stereo output into the DAW.  RP500 panned more left and RP255 panned more right.
Drums: Yamaha YD series (mic'd with 2 Neumann FET47 overheads, AKG C1000s on the snare and Shure SM57 in the kick)
DAW: Adobe Audition v3

Seeing as my last DJ mix was over 7 months and i have a few shows coming up I need to promote I thought i best pull my finger out and do a new one.

I Should Have Known

Wade Odum & The Convergent Project have been recording since 2003, and though the idea of a project "where musicians from different cities, states and even countries" was realized while writing and recording with Sam Harman in 2010, the musical roots go back into the early-mid eighties.  But in 2010, Sam brought up the idea of a group assembling together/converging in one location, musically speaking, and the name "The Convergent Project" was born.
To date, musicians from the U.K., North Dakota, Southern California, and Northern California Bay Area have participated in several of the tracks posted here on SoundCloud.  What an AWESOME blessing it is!
