The 25th episode of the Avenue Red Podcast series comes from Hydergine (AKA Roberto Corizzo), a Dub Techno producer and esteemed vinyl collector/DJ from Taranto, Italy. His productions are very deep and textural, most notable for having a somewhat futuristic and scientific aesthetic, which is one of the foundational concepts of his work under the Hydergine moniker - as Roberto explains: "The pseudonym is inspired by a smart drug used to improve the metabolism of brain cells and cognitive abilities such as intelligence, learning and memory".

His music has been released on a variety of well-respected labels including Separate Skills, Analog Response, Phlox, Ranges and Tiefenrausch. He is now on the cusp of his 7th vinyl release - pre-order available here: http://www.decks.de/t/hydergine-static_frames/c3w-g7 - which is forthcoming on the Dresden, Germany-based label Etui Records. This 80-minute session is yet another in a long list of incredible vinyl-exclusive mixes from Hydergine that give an insight into his amazing record collection, craftily put together to create a genuinely trippy listening experience. Scuol Palace, tucked away in the Eastern Mountains of Switzerland, hosted the 1st Multiplay Festival, a beautiful foray into the wilderness, curated with love and attention. I was honoured to be invited to close the outdoor stage on Saturday night. A big bag of vinyl and some choice digital personal cuts and unreleased material as well as numbers from my circle.. 
Open the bag, do not prepare, exist in the moment and enjoy the ride, it’s where moments meld and the joy happens, the unexpected. Energy levels were high, the recording is no frills and raw!
