Schiavocampo is an author, singer and guitarist.

Born in Milan in 1984, he gets his first artistic inspiration from the members of his father's family: his grandfather and grandmother (Paolo a sculptor and painter, Renata a writer) as well as his father,
with his love and deep interest for music, provide him a highly sensitive and prolific environment where to grow in.  He starts playing guitar at 14 and from the very beginning he writes songs and small pieces on the instrument.

His first remarkable work is the composition of the music for “Ellissi nel cerchio” which publishes in 2005 an EP that raises attention among the musical scene of the city for its originality and its involvement with the 'creative commons' licensing ideals, at the uprise at that time. He starts writing more intimate guitar and voice compositions in italian, based on poetical lyrics and free structure. 

In 2006 he moves to Dublin, Ireland. 
At first he performs on the street as a busker, then he begins to write his own material in english. Inspired mainly by the british songwriters' sound (Nick Drake, but also Radiohead and Robert Wyatt) and from the richness and liveliness of the irish folk tradition, his style gets more clear and personal. The result is the first album under the name 'Schiavocampo' : Children's Corner. 
Influenced by the house of the iconic dublin's neighbourhood of Stoneybatter, which used to be a cornershop in the sixties and by the fact that the tenants included two kids. It has been recorded  and self-released in september 2009. Thanks to this work, Schiavocampo meets most of the  main acts of the irish independent scene.

During this period, he also lives in Edinburgh and Rome.

In 2008, he starts, together with Massimiliano Galli (Rumori dal Fondo), a project called SignA, based on the idea of mixing together folk songs and minimal electronic music. They released their first record in 2010.

In 2010 he moves to Brussels where he lives and works. He has started the pre-production of his second record in january 2011.
