Get Down Edits founder Darren 'Dazz' Dalton dons his solo Jisco Dazz alias for a fine outing on his own imprint. He's in sample-rich original production mode on 'Slap That Bass', adding Wurtlitzer style organ licks, jaunty pianos, dreamy chords and eyes-closed female vocal samples to a weighty bassline and smooth deep house bass. The accompanying remix package is pleasingly solid too. Dalton's Get Down Edits project delivers a more low-slung, funk-fuelled house revision that makes more of the killer bassline and vocal samples, before Noden slaps down (sorry) a rolling dub disco-meets-deep house rework and Stephen Richards gives the track a sunnier and more soulful garage-house feel.

JACK TENNIS: 
Berlin producer Jack Tennis is the mastermind behind a lot of projects. He releases his own music under the name Hotlane (signed to Gomma Records) and spreads his Disco-Edits for UK’s influential Disco Label Midnight Riot (run by Yam Who!), Spa In Disco and Too SLow To Disco. He has an edit on every TSTD YACHT DISCO EDITS compiatlion so far, he was already part of TSTD EDITS 2 – Brasil with an edit, and last year he remixed SATIN JACKETS for TSTD NEO’s “The Sunset Manifesto” - compilation. Her mashups have charted on Hypeddit, gaining support from radio shows worldwide. She hosts events in Atlanta, including her signature event, Wahine’s Hideaway, featuring international guests like Dicky Trisco, TORIBIO, Fran Deeper and The Funk District.

Wahine has supported renowned artists Crazy P, DJ Sneak, Lego, Nickodemus, Moodena, Richard Earnshaw, Captain Planet, Hotmood, Dicky Trisco, and DJ Disciple at events in Los Angeles, Atlanta, London, and Amsterdam. Her radio show has featured guests such as The Reflex, Aroop Roy, and The Patchouli Brothers.

Described as “Disco in Paradise,” her sound is sundrenched and full of global influences. Funky licks are spiced with percussive jams. Equal parts brains and brawn with every beat telling a story of rhythm and roots.
