In 2009 producer Budamunk and Joe Styles of Keentokers/Souljugglerz teamed up for their first joint album "BudaStyles Classics".
With Budamunk and Joe Styles living in the same city of Los Angeles, the two went on and recorded numerous projects such as "Keentokers The Fresh Speech" and many tracks released and some unreleased.
Now with Budamunk currently residing in Tokyo,Japan and Joe Styles in Los Angeles, the two have joined forces again to continue the BudaStyles saga with the new album titled "From LA To Tokyo" produced entirely by the "Lab Master" aka Budamunk.
Mysteriously, many Budamunk Files For Joe Styles resurfaced and were sent to Los Angeles where they were recorded and mixed by @thaprint and Joe Styles,and then sent back to @Budamonkfonk in Tokyo to be finalized. So as you can see this dope album was constructed "From LA To Tokyo". So on behalf of Souljugglerz...

作品紹介 :
LAのアンダーグラウンド・シーンで、Keentokers / Soul Jugglerzとして活動を共にしてきたBudaMunkとJoe Styles。レコーディングを繰り返す毎日で、リリースをしていない曲も多く存在した。そこから2009年に"Budastyles Classics"、2011年にはKeentokersとしてアルバム'The Fresh Speech"、さらに2012年にはJoe Stylesのソロ名義で"Elevation Music"をリリース。現在、
BudaMunkは東京、Joe StylesはLA在住ということで、全て2013年に両方の土地で作り上げられ、過去作を軽く凌駕する新しいアルバムが"From LA To Tokyo"である。
基本的にビートは東京、RECはLAと、別々の場所で作られたアルバムだが、過去にも"Medicine"などのクラシックを残している2人だけあって、長年のコンビネーションで培った相性は抜群である。
ゲストにJoe Stylesの幼馴染みが集まったクルー・Tha Printから、P.I.と、Joe Stylesの作品では御馴染みの従兄弟・Soul、インタルードにはシンガーのSandy Soul, さらにBudaMunkとのアルバム"First Jam Magic"をリリースした、Jazzy Sportのレーベルメイト・金子巧(cro-magnon)が鍵盤で参加。
すでにMVも2本発表されており、LAの某老舗レーベルや、ビートメイカーたちも反応しているという情報が届き、今後の展開にも大きな期待が寄せられるプロジェクトになるであろう。

某CD店の"無人島 俺の10枚"でBudaMunkが選出した事でも知られる幻の作品リリース決定！

今から11年前。丁度、BudaMunkがJoe Stylesと出会う前に作られた、スーパーレアなアルバム"Melodical Era"から、7曲入りのEPが登場。タイトルどおり、メロディカルでソウルフルな楽曲が中心に作られた作品で、当時、BudaMunkもJoe Stylesからこのアルバムを聴かされ、とてつもない衝撃を受けた作品である。Joe Stylesの作品ではお馴染みで、当時彼と共にKilla Kombatとして活動していた、従兄弟のSoulも参加。2002年に自主で作られた音源で、音質はかなりラフではあるが、Joe Stylesの持つ、独特のスタイルから発せられるセンスの高さもこの時すでに感じられ、2013年現在でもフレッシュに聞ける作品である。

Original Chick Corea sample with bass guitar and drum hits recorded off my old dusty kit.

Nothing original, but I had fun making it and learned a lot about his production style in the process; the way Dilla flipped this sample, and the swing on his drums.. just amazing.

T.Williams & Shadow Child - Want You To

House legend and Rinse FM resident Shadow Child has teamed up with Doorly on new single ‘Climbing (Piano Weapon)’, which is now available to stream on Soundcloud. Following a premiere on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show, the new vocal version of 'Piano Weapon' (co-written by MNEK) will be released by Polydor Records this November. Following a run of remixes for big names such as Hot Natured, London Grammar and most recently Duke Dumont, Shadow Child is currently working on original material and playing a run of live dates in Ibiza and across the UK including a London show supporting the legendary Groove Armada.
 
Simon Neale’s darker, bass-heavy alter ego Shadow Child was born in 2012 with the signing of his bassline house classic ‘String Thing’ to Dirtybird Records. Championed across the world by DJs including Annie Mac, Jamie Jones and Eats Everything, Shadow Child’s early house tracks have attracted a global fan base. Now playing the closing shows on his Summer 2014 tour, Shadow Child will be hitting the studio to complete his debut full-length release. Until then, head to Soundcloud to stream ‘Piano Weapon’ and get stuck into his Rinse FM guest mix series featuring the biggest names in UK house.
