Originating from Birmingham, UK, all-female punk quartet Sonic Doll formed in June 2022. The queer band consists of Lauren Woodfield (songwriter, lead vocals, lead guitar), Scarlett Duthie (backing vocals and rhythm guitar), Julz Morris (bass guitar. Sonic Doll is the perfect fusion of head-banging riff, punchy drums and satire, feminine lyrics. Altescape reviewed their debut EP Third Eye in 2022, stating "Sonic Doll approaches 'Third Eye' with an experimental vision, heavily utilising aspects of punk, whilst emerging with a wholly unique sound'.
