August Alsina's debut mixtape "The Product" assisted by DJ Scream was released on April 15, the release date is one of personal significance to August, as it’s the birthday of his late brother who was gunned down in New Orleans in 2010. The words “Dedicated to my big brother. R.I.P. Melvin LaBranch III, 4.15.86 – 8.31.10” appear on the mixtape’s back cover. The release is a fitting dedication to the brother who inspired August to leave the street life behind and make music his full-time hustle.

FAUX NO is the production and vocal duo of Maaike Lebbing and Reija Lee (formally known as "Kito & Reija Lee"). Two passionate Australian friends now based in London; the two draw inspiration from a vast selection of music that has sound tracked the love, lust and teenage rebellion that defines so much of what they're about. Maaike
and Reija's first collaborative release came in the form of the game changing "LFO" that was released in early 2009 on Skream's Disfigured Dubz imprint. Since then, they have worked together on a number of pieces for Mad Decent, including the "Sweet Talk" EP, and have now reunited under one name to explore a new style.

Their first single under the new FAUX NO moniker is called "Velma Kelly". A bass infused pop tune, it highlights both
Maaike's bombast percussion style with Reija's melodic vocals. Along with the single we've got two remixes- one from recent Kito collaborator Feadz (Ed Banger) and a rapid-fire juke production from Norway's Slick Shoota.

We normally wouldn't do things like this but too many people have asked for a download. We're turning a blind eye to our own judgement on cheesy-mashups. So here is one of the bootlegs we made for the 90s mix. We've pulled it out of the project for your enjoyment.

This encapsulates 1999 for us. Cassius - Feeling For You was one of the first records we ever bought. The fact that it had a Les Rythmes Digitales Remix makes it even better. We weren't to know at 12 years old that this song would still be just as playable 14 years later,  and how much of an impact both Cassius and Stuart Price would have on our music tastes while learning to DJ. And what more needs to be said about Outkast? One of the greatest hip-hop acts to ever exist. They were the soundtrack to every house party since the beginning of high school. Big Boi and Andre 3000 in the same studio. How could that go wrong?
