Hi! My name is Joey Wisgirda. I also go by Big Joe Daddy. I live in the SF Bay Area, and make electronic music. I play trumpet and a special wind controller ( Morrison Digital Trumpet http://www.digitaltrumpet.com.au/ ), live and in the studio,controlling Ableton, Reason, Kyma, Alchemy, and a host of other hardware and software instruments, especially physical modeling ones. It lets me, among other things, produce very realistic acoustic instrument sounds.I started out as an orchestral trumpet player, them switched to jazz, funk, and Salsa, then studied composition with John Tchicai ( Coltrane, Archie Shepp, etc. ) .... energy music! I've performed with bunches of folks ( Alton Ellis, John Tchicai, Karl Denson, Hamsa Lila, Mutaytor, Joe Craven, DJ Dragonfly, and many others .... ), and shared the stage with many more ( John Scofield, Bassnectar, Galactic, Ozomatli, Tipper, Kraddy, Beats Antique, Charlie Hunter, and many others as well ... ) Let me know if you like what I do!

WALA has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in bass music including CloZee, GRiZ, Gramatik, Ott, Minnesota, Desert Dwellers, Random Rab, Kalya Scintilla,  ill.Gates (WALA’s mentor), and many others at festivals and shows all over the world including Electric Forest, Envision, Burning Man (10 years, setting a personal record of 17 sets in 5 days in 2012), Tribal Gathering, Cosmic Convergence, Sonic Bloom, Lucidity Festival, and many others across the globe.
