We never released this remix , but i like it ! 

the song was written with Yasmine Hamdan , Rabih Mroue , Walid Sadeck and me . 

We were sitting doing a composition game , one gives a chord , the other gives a melody , the other  a piece of lyrics and after a few minute a song exists. 

Wadih Saffieddine ( our manager at the time was typing on his computer at this time and we were asking him to join , the song was called after him at the end ! i hope u enjoy...

وَلَمِّعْ لَها لَيْلَها خاتَماً خاتَماً

لَمْ يَبْقَ غَيْرُكُما في الوجودِ
فَخُذْها، بِرِفْقٍ، إِلى مَوْتِكَ المُشْتَهى

With a wine glass, ornamented in lapis lazuli,
wait for her. With the patience of a horse prepared for mountain slopes,
wait for her. With the courtesy of a refined and splendid prince, 
wait for her.

With the softness of seven pillows filled with clouds, 
wait for her. With the fire of feminine incense that fills the place, 
wait for her, and don’t make haste.


If she arrives behind time,
if she arrives ahead of time, 
wait for her.

Don’t startle the bird resting on her curls, and wait for her
to make herself as comfortable as a garden in full bloom, and wait for her 
to breathe this air that is a stranger to her heart, and wait for her
to pull up her dress one cloud at a time, and wait for her. 

When she places the glass on the marble top, slowly touch her hand 
as if to relieve her of the burden of dew drops, 
and wait for her.

Talk to her, like a flute to an anxious violin string,
like two witnesses to the schemes of some tomorrow, 
and wait for her. Polish her night one ring at a time, and wait for her
until the night tells you: 

There is no one left in the world
but the two of you. Only then, 
take her, gently, to your desired death,

Obay Al-Sha'arani is a young Syrian instrumental and trip-hop electronic musician, composer and producer now based in Nicosia, Cyprus. 
He shared for HAB.B. an exclusive compilation of his first demos, a personal view onto the soundscape of the middle-east.

DABAKA is a musical project that brings together Lebanese and Syrian artists around an audio-visual performance. 
 
Revisiting the folkloric dabkeh, a dance and musical practice emerging from the Levantine’s common heritage, the artists joined their passion and talent to reclaim its place within a contemporary context.
 
The project hopes to encourage more dialogue between artists on the cultural scene and to foster a greater understanding of the unique role art can play in bringing people together.
 
DABAKA is funded and supported by UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency.
