Day 2

Jam 5 for the Seed 2 Stage Jamnuary challenge.  This is an experiment in random automation to make an ever evolving track from the source material.  It could go on for a good 20 minutes changing all the time. I used grouped notes and random follow on actions and effects triggers.  I then edited the result down to this.

Jam 5 - Think in Time MK2

No Landscape Survives experiences & wanderings lie within those ten pieces, each focusing on a splinter, a shatter of the whole. Manufactured, they hold a tribute to the handmade work: layers of synths, syncopated rhythms, electronic seams trying to pour light & shadow by turns, on the fabric of that musical piece of clothing. Monochrome rather than shimmering, made for the inside rather than the outside, it is likely that this set won’t suit any being. But for those who carry their defeats like others carry victories, it shall nonetheless be a conveying call.

MUSIC BIO FOR DR. WALLY J. BARTFAY
Dr. Wally Bartfay is a retired Professor and former Associate Dean (August, 2024) for the Faculty of Health Sciences at Ontario Tech University in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.  He was also affectionately known as the “Rock N’ Prof” by his students because he often played original songs that he has written prior to the commence of lectures to create certain vibes and buzzes in his classes. His music has appeared on Euro Indie Music Chart lists top 1; World Indie Music Chart lists top 1 and 2; BWNR music list top 5, and the US Top 20 Show- Weekly Pulse of Music at No. 18. In 2024, he had 3 No. 1 Indie hits on the Euro Indie Network Music Charts and World Indie Top 100 Music Chart lists with collaborator Stephen Wrench: 1. You're My Beautiful; 2. Little Sunshine Girl and 3. Cherry Hill Gal.  Stephen has been a 6x Grammy Awardee and has won over 50 Gold and Platinum records throughout his career journey that spans 5 decades now. 
I have been invited to appear on several radio stations, music podcasts, YouTube music channels and interviews with music magazines during the past year.  Examples include B-line Entertainment; Phil Kratz Radio Show; Blackdog Indie Country Radio; James Cox Show; Empowerment Divas Network; The Anything Goes Podcast with Duzzy Clayton; Curtis Johnson Music Podcase; Kayden Gordon Show- Today’s Best Country Mix; Radio interview on the Jeff Rickett Show, Country KIX 96.5 FM; Paul Mash TV; Playin’ On Music Row with Fran, and an interview with Fanbase Music Magazine to name but a few.
Ever since Wally was a little lad, he wanted to play the electric guitar and make music that creates smiles on people’s faces. He can remember playing his imaginary electric "air guitar" in his parents’ basement to various rock and country songs for hours on end. He got his first guitar when he turned 14 after taking on various odds jobs including pumping gas on weekends and cutting lawns.  He quickly learned to play it on his very own, along with several other instruments. Wally has also done research related to the benefits of music therapy as a nonpharmacological intervention with patients with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.  He got interested in researching the clinical benefits of music as medicine after his father was diagnosed with vascular dementia following a series of strokes that left him bed bound in a nursing home.  Ironically, this is the same nursing home that he used to put on volunteer Christmas concerts for during his youth in his community. He is passionate about song writing and his songs often reflect personal experiences and challenges that he has faced over the years. Each song contains components of his genuine lived experiences, heart, and soul as an artist.
