I've spent the last week writing a new song about nature, so this is my new song about nature.

I started making this piece with the intention of it being a set of songs that could stand on their own as well as being an open collaboration, but then it took on a life of its own, and things just got out of hand from there, lol! 

But I still managed to control myself and didn’t add too many samples though, haha! 

I was listening to 1985 and 1986 hip hop singles when making this so….

This song tells the story of an aging former Walk of Fame movie star who once basked in the Hollywood limelight and was everyone’s sweetheart on the silver screen. With the passage of time, fewer screen roles come her way, and she begins to depend on red wine to cope with her depression and grief. Eventually, she decides to end it all. Indeed, glory, fame and fortune are a young girl's game in Hollywood, which is riddled with stereotypes of beauty and youth. This emotional and moving song is a dedication to those who have taken their lives over the years in Hollywood and elsewhere due to societal pressures to retain their youth, beauty and fame.  On October 2, 2025, hit No. 15 on the Euro Indie Music Network chart list. This song was written at the same time as ‘Get Up’ which I posted a couple of months ago and is very much a partner piece to it. I’ve given it a more jazzy feel and upped the tempo from my first  version which I hope has given it a brighter and lighter feel. I’ve also multi-tracked the ‘Uh Oh’ vocal loop and added a few effects to make it a little more prominent in the mix - it is after all the title! I very much hope you enjoy this one and, if you have time, maybe leave a comment. The feedback I’ve had on the other songs has been really, really helpful ( and very encouraging too! ).

MUSIC BIO FOR DR. WALLY J. BARTFAY
Dr. Wally Bartfay is a retired Professor and former Associate Dean (August, 2024) for the Faculty of Health Sciences at Ontario Tech University in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.  He was also affectionately known as the “Rock N’ Prof” by his students because he often played original songs that he has written prior to the commence of lectures to create certain vibes and buzzes in his classes. His music has appeared on Euro Indie Music Chart lists top 1; World Indie Music Chart lists top 1 and 2; BWNR music list top 5, and the US Top 20 Show- Weekly Pulse of Music at No. 18. In 2024, he had 3 No. 1 Indie hits on the Euro Indie Network Music Charts and World Indie Top 100 Music Chart lists with collaborator Stephen Wrench: 1. You're My Beautiful; 2. Little Sunshine Girl and 3. Cherry Hill Gal.  Stephen has been a 6x Grammy Awardee and has won over 50 Gold and Platinum records throughout his career journey that spans 5 decades now. 
I have been invited to appear on several radio stations, music podcasts, YouTube music channels and interviews with music magazines during the past year. Ever since Wally was a little lad, he wanted to play the electric guitar and make music that creates smiles on people’s faces. He can remember playing his imaginary electric "air guitar" in his parents’ basement to various rock and country songs for hours on end. He got his first guitar when he turned 14 after taking on various odds jobs including pumping gas on weekends and cutting lawns.  He quickly learned to play it on his very own, along with several other instruments. Wally has also done research related to the benefits of music therapy as a nonpharmacological intervention with patients with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.  He got interested in researching the clinical benefits of music as medicine after his father was diagnosed with vascular dementia following a series of strokes that left him bed bound in a nursing home.  Ironically, this is the same nursing home that he used to put on volunteer Christmas concerts for during his youth in his community. He is passionate about song writing and his songs often reflect personal experiences and challenges that he has faced over the years. Each song contains components of his genuine lived experiences, heart, and soul as an artist.
