In dit account plaats ik zowel oud als recent werk.

Recente eigen composities zijn ontstaan aan de piano.

Het oudere werk dat ik hier stap-voor-stap aan het plaatsen ben, is uit mijn voorbije leven als gitarist. In 2014 heb ik - om medische redenen-  de gitaar moet verruilen voor de piano.  
Het zijn registraties van oude samenwerkingen, werk voor audiovisuele producties of nijvere huisvlijt. En schetsmatig opgenomen demo's, gewoon voor mijn plezier gemaakt. 

Ook recent zijn opnames met Jordana. Met haar vorm ik - als pianist - een duo. We spelen een repertoire  in het genre van jazz, blues, pop en chanson. Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Beth Hart maar ook Billie Eilish en Melody Gardot.

In mijn jonge jaren ben ik begonnen als gitarist en speelde ik pop, rock en blues. Mijn grote voorbeelden waren Eric Clapton, Eelco Gelling en Jimi Hendrix.  Van meet af aan maakte ik ook eigen liedjes.
Later ben ik afro-cubaanse percussie gaan spelen. Als dertiger ben ik alsnog begonnen aan een gitaarstudie aan het conservatorium.

Ik koester mijn heden en mijn historie. En dat weerspiegelt zich in dit account.

Has worked for 20 years (1994-2014) as a music pedagogue, founder of the Alkmaar Guitar School (Alkmaarse Gitaarschool).

The older work that I am posting here step by step is from my past life as a guitarist. In 2014, for medical reasons, I had to swap the guitar for the piano. They are recordings of old collaborations, work for audiovisual productions or industrious home industry. And sketchily recorded demos, just made for my own pleasure. 

Also recent are recordings with Jordana. With her, I form a duo - as a pianist. We play a repertoire in the genre of jazz, blues, pop and chanson. Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Beth Hart but also Billie Eilish and Melody Gardot. Intimate listening music. https://www.youtube.com/@jordana-walter 

In my younger years I started as a guitarist and played pop, rock and blues. My great examples were Eric Clapton, Eelco Gelling and Jimi Hendrix. From the start I also made my own songs. 

Later I started playing Afro-Cuban percussion. In my thirties I started studying guitar at the conservatory.
