As with all STH release the track builds around a drop of unprecedented proportion, vocal snippets and white noise swells combine to inject a burst of energy into proceedings before thundering drums brings the track crashing back down to earth, at which point undoubtedly, clubs around the world will erupt.

Women. Without them, we wouldn't be here, or we'd be born by men, which drudges up all sorts of horrific imagery, not to mention implications that we don't want to even think about, let alone speak of. With them, we learn the world through feeling, not just through hunger and desire; we get a chance to grow into men well nurtured; we fall in love and get burned by it; we fall again and learn to appreciate the friction; and then we find the right one, and we put our every living breath into becoming the best possible version of ourselves, the version that pays the bond between us and the women in our lives the respect it rightfully deserves. They don't just look pretty. They keep your ass in check and they push out your little darling brats. They orchestrate things you could hardly begin to wrap your head around and they see the value in you admitting that the world doesn't always make you feel like a tough guy. They listen to your bullshit and tell you there's validity in it, and then they clean your shit-streaked underwear. If there's magic in the world, a good kind of magic, some innate capacity to turn moments in life into something better than they would be otherwise, surely it rests in their power. They can even take the edge off of a form of music known to blow an eardrum, a speaker, or the thinly veiled sanity of your next door neighbor. And that's exactly what they're doing here: gracing an all female-vocal jungle mix with their silky, sexy, soothing tones, and reminding us that there's a softer, more soulful side to jungle, no matter how hard we affect to be while we bang our Babylon drums.

In other words, here's my first mix in over a year, featuring my usual range of amen-heavy oldskool jungle, with a special emphasis on tunes that feature our better halves on the microphone. This will be the first in a series of mixes loosely gathered into a theme of summertime vibes. If you're a producer in this day and age, and you have some inclination to add another amen tune to jungle's arsenal, please consider adding a feminine touch to your work. I'll love you for it, and your significant other just might too.
