Ahead of her and dBridge's collaborative live show next week, we welcome one of the UK's brightest artists, Madison Willing @madison-willing to Cozi :) Maddy is a renowned composer, scorer and producer merging her inspiring passion for classical & electronic music. Her deep immersive, colorful and analogue soundscapes have earned her a respected name for herself in and out of the electronic community. We are so excited and privileged to have curate a CoziMix for us strictly original compositions both ambient & classical made for our winter days & nights :)

Cozi questions....

1.⁠ ⁠How and why did you get into producing / dj’ing?
Producing came from the impulse to express myself and DJing, the desire to connect with others

2.⁠ ⁠Who, What/where was your most coziest gig you've been to or experienced and why?
Caterina Barbieri at the Barbican, the rolling waves of modular bliss, a mesmerising wash of colours 

3.⁠ ⁠Do you consider yourself an introvert or extrovert in the scene?
Introversion dictates and governs every aspect of my being, but I love people, and that means sharing the listening experience with others. 

4.⁠ ⁠If you had to choose 1 track to vibe out too forever, what would it be
‘Says’ by Nils Frahm. There’s no other harmonic tension and release that feels so rewarding - it continues to be a gift that keeps giving. 

5.⁠ ⁠What is your routine when preparing for a gig / production/writing session? Do you have any special remedies/ mental/physical prep/ places to go to? :)
Sensory experiences, feeling the earth beneath my feet. Yoga and sauna. The gratitude of being alive.

‘Waters Rising’ is a collaboration with vocalist Lola Empire and was originally written around a piano sketch that was sent back and forth between the two artists until it became the fully realised song you hear now.  

"I really hadn't expected love to be a theme in the album, but I was chatting with Lola and she told me how she'd fallen in love. I sent her the initial sketch for this and told her i didn't think love was an appropriate subject for it. but she came out with this. 
'love is dark' she said."
