This is kind of of a cover of a Paco Pena piece called 'Herencia Latina' though this is a traditional rumba style used in a lot of latin songs. Nitin Sawney did a version in the late 90's though I didn't hear it until I met Biant Singh around 1999. I recorded this with a steel string guitar which gives it a different tone. Waqas improvises on bansuri flute to give it an eastern edge, and Biant adds great rhythm with his tabla. This is a very rough mix - I hope to add some more instruments for a fuller sound.

Waqas choudhary is a multi talented musician based in Nottingham UK. Waqas is classically trained in classical Indian music, he learned the Art of Classical music from Ustad Iqbal Hussain. Waqas Sings Classical, semi classical , Sufi ,bollywood and folk , waqas is a solo concert flautist ( bansuri flute player) , Waqas has done a lot of projects and live performances in Uk with a number of top rank musicians from a diverse musical background, waqas plays classical indian music , fusion and improvised Jazz blues, He is also an excellent flute maker, his style is unique he plays Gayaki and Instrumental both styles in indian Bansuri, He has learned indian classical music from Ustad Iqbal Hussain , Ustad Azhar Barlass and Also took a lot of guidance from word renowned Flautist Pandit Pravin Godkhindi , He is disciple of world famous flautist Praveen Godkhindi , waqas has performed in a large number of festivals, melas, exhibitions and many concerts around the Uk, He also has performed in House of Lords, Royal Pavillion,  symphony hall birmingham , war imperial museum and many places of great importance. waqas has done enormous projects with various arts organisations such as NAAC, Nae , Leicester Arts council, Embrace Arts , attenborough arts centre, Sa Re Arts Birmingham, Mistry Music london, Folk found Asian Loughborough,  Nutkhut etc.
