With WAREHOUSE KIDS Mixtape Series we aim to promote and showcase upcoming and already known artists from the scene.

Starting with dj/producer RUSTHOL. This talented individual has been making waves with his dark, atmospheric and emotionally charged production for a while now and is a perfect pick to kick the series off.

Few words from the man himself:

East Helsinki native RUSTHOL drags you into misty abandoned warehouses influenced by the groovy and bass-heavy drops of UK garage, dubstep, and drum & bass, then combines them with the atmospheres of wave and future garage, amalgamating into a music style that is best described as "Atmospheric Bass Music".

RUSTHOL advocates for coming up with stuff on the spot with a well-prepared song selection, bro just wants to have fun behind decks with a carefree attitude. At the end of the day, there's no right or wrong in improvisation.

WK Mixtape Series 001: RUSTHOL

With WAREHOUSE KIDS Mixtape Series we aim to promote and showcase upcoming and already known artists from the scene.

In the second release of our Mixtape Series we invited DJ/Producer JOLE from Cohesion Collective to cook for us and what he brought to the table blew us away. On the menu you can find some heavy and murky low end goodness mixed with a generous amount of rapid and groovy rhythms. Topping the whole thing off with some leftfieldy shenanigans and we have a perfect "dish" for our series. Bon Appétit!

Few words from the culinary master himself:

"Deep and dark. Loud and in your face. Something mellow. 
For me, it's all about trying new things with different kinds of bass music in every set I play.
My sound ranges from easy going UKG to hard hitting Jump-up. I'm sort of like a chameleon switching colors depending on the occasion and the place. But even though I like to experiment, my happy place is right here: Deep, Dark & Murky. 

I've always had a vision of how I like to present myself as an artist and that vision is slowly starting to realise itself with my own production as well as my DJing. Dubs are on their way."

WK Mixtape Series 002: JOLE

With WAREHOUSE KIDS Mixtape Series we aim to promote and showcase upcoming and already known artists from the scene.

In the third release of our Mixtape Series we invited MinX from KÜLT collective to put us together a mix filled with banging energy and that's exactly what we received! Effortless blends between super nice selection of hard hitting bass goodness in harmony with satisfying melodic components. This one's definitely for the skankers!

A few words from the artist herself:

Her style in music is something very deep, aggressive, compelling and MAD. She listens to them as she's walking around busy places to calm her nerves down. Some may even think the music is scary. So as she mixes, she likes to make it a bit creepy and unexpected. "Mostly i loved Riddim & Dubstep, but it evolved into the darker tunes of Neurofunk. My mixes are mostly mixed of some of them all, like Neurofunk x DNB x Tempo, Or then Riddim x Dubstep x Jumpup DNB. You never know, im full of suprises." 

Her father is a DJ, and since she was a kid she's been watching him play with vinyl and pioneer decks so from a young age, she has been very inspired to do the same. "And here i am, spinnin’ sum DNB ye!"

Who, Overhouse? I am one fella from the Capital of Space (Seinäjoki). Yea.. the silence ... - BUT believe me the music is still loud here !

My mixes variate from Dusk's Liquid till Dawn's Neuro. I'm all around DNB guy, it's my thing.
On this one, I wanted to keep the tempo up. Massive drops, catchy vocals and unexpected doubles included. With few serene and melodic up building breaks to catch a breath.
I can see this fitting the dancefloor and get the hype up. That's always been my goal - to get people dance !

In this fifth edition of our Mixtape Series we feature a powerful mix by Gremino who’s taking us on a journey back to the raw and relentless times of drum and bass.

"While jungle is Gremino's main focus, in drum'n'bass he focuses on the street-side. From his music productions (and why not from his dj sets too), you can find wide range of genres, from bass music to techno to dnb/jungle. The selection in the mixes are always carefully curated and sorted into a journey. In this mix, Gremino presents 10 track selection from 98-99 era - the sound he listened when he was first introduced to jungle/dnb in the very end of 90s."

WK Mixtape Series 005: Gremino

For the seventh installment of our Mixtape Series, we're honored to present a mix from Criba.
In this set he takes us on a deep, immersive journey through the darker corners of DnB. Expect deep low-end pressure, moody atmospheres, and precision-crafted rhythms that never let up.

"Criba is a DJ/Producer from Helsinki, Finland. He has been writing tunes since 2009 and had releases on labels like Demand Records, Instinct Audio, Mean Seed Records. His styles varies from drum & bass to techno and everything in between. Criba aka Taneli Mustikka is also a part of the Harmaa collective which is cultivating the spectrum of the deeper side of techno and dnb in their productions and radio shows. They are hosting monthly radio show on IDA Helsinki."
