Warfare return to the scene yet again after another unforseen pause to showcase we still around and have no intention on stopping with the delivery of the Neuro/Tech sound we stand for. This time we welcome another new recruit - Vedanta, real name Adam Lewandowski. Originally hailing from Poland and currently based in Barcelona, he comes as no newcomer to the scene, being personally on stage since late 2000's, while project Vedanta itself started in 2015 as a duo between Adam and technoid dnb legend Yabol. Fast forwarding into present days, Vedanta remains in Adam's hands, carrying the torch passed by Yabol who remains an Astral Partner and a good friend. Vedanta's aim is to deliver his finest productions in the field of Psychedelic Techno Drum & Bass. With a long list of labels and releases under his belt featuring Renegade Hardware, Metafiziq, Close 2 Death, Future Sickness and others, time has come to add Warfare to that list as well. We proudly present this 2-track banger EP, name Final Fight EP, featuring the tracks Final Fight and Jaunt - one being remiscent to the video games of the early 90's and the other being the classical technoid sound Adam stands for. This release comes as first of series of new EP's we have prepared under our belt to present to You, so watch out for what's coming next in the recent future from Warfare.

Paperfunk Recordings has always respected — and will continue to respect — the technoid and techno-DnB sound, and we've always strived to contribute as a label to the development of this branch of Drum & Bass.

While techno-DnB emerged back in the early 2000s alongside titanic subgenres like neurofunk and techstep, technoid drum and bass was born under far more intricate and subtle circumstances. The rise of the technoid subgenre is directly tied to a particular group of artists and their unique sonic influence during the years 2007 to 2011.

Its peak — the true triumph of technoid — was in 2008, right at the center of this period. That was the golden age of the subgenre we love, when labels like Offkey, Sinuous, and many others were putting out astonishingly heavy releases with utterly mad and unpredictable sound design.

We’re bringing that tradition back. We’re reviving the raw power and chaos of technoid and techno-DnB — and with great pride, we present to you our new compilation: TECHNOID: GREATEST COMEBACK VOL. 1

This series will feature works by artists who embody the very essence of why these subgenres continue to captivate us.
