Ata from Frankfurt was our guest, who has been loyal to Kassablanca Jena for a very long time. In the mid-90s he was already present several times as a DJ at our (mid)weekly Gay-House-Nights. In 1993 he founded the labels Ongaku Musik, Klang Elektronik and Playhouse. This was later followed by gigs at Dorian Gray and Frankfurt's OMEN, before his own party series Wild Pitch Club was created under his wing in Frankfurt's nightlife. His musical focus crystallised very early on in his sets on HOUSE and to this day he works as ‘Hans Dampf in allen Gassen’ with full enthusiasm and constant commitment for Club Robert Johnson (@live-at-robert-johnson).

Force Inc. Music Works Tribute

For the next edition of the Significant Other Series I present my partner in Sevin, Kevin Callison!
We have been mixing records together since 2000 when we collectively acquired turntables at Wittenberg College in Ohio while also battling it out on the football field.
Clashing heads by day and beats by night (the vinyl learning curve, haha), we found our niche in the electronic realm and went on the deep dive into mixing records. We reconnected on the decks when I moved to Denver in 2010 and began playing gigs around town from the Denver Art Museum to The Funky Buddha where we started our first weekly together. Kicked off the Underground and hopped over to Milk Bar for the long run of Thursday nights in the dark room (Jazz bar). So many great memories shared behind the decks with this guy, and hopefully more to come! This mix is a small representation of some of the sound ground we have covered together over the years with some present and nostalgia tunes thrown in. As usual, all vinyl grooves for this ride - Hope you enjoy the mix!
