Resuming our Dispatch Dubplate series in 2017, we are excited to welcome Commix to the fold, with a debut release this May.
 
Presenting four exclusive cuts from the UK born Berliner, the release features quintessential, club primed Commix rollers, alongside some profound and polished experimentation; providing a true sense of the depth in his quality today.
 
Still retaining the renowned infectiousness of his back catalogue, Commix nimbly connects the dots between flavours of the past and his path for the future, authentically delivering yet another classic release; something we felt called for a vinyl release right from the off. 

With 400 hand stamped, signed and numbered heavyweight vinyl copies available, there is a very limited press and much like previous Dispatch Dubplates, this will never be re-pressed.

As with past Dispatch Dubplate records, these do sell out way ahead of release date so to secure a copy we'd advise pre-ordering today. This time round we have a higher allocation that we will be selling directly via our Dispatch Recordings store, we are unsure at this point in time on any amount that will go to general distribution.

The highly esteemed Irish duo Zero T & Beta 2 are back on Metalheadz with the 'Exiles EP' - a true, modern-day reproduction of the vintage Metalheadz sound that cemented the labels roots 25 years ago.

Comprising of 6 tracks on the full release, the EP can at times destroy dancefloors with the likes of 'Exiles' and 'Dead Cert', whilst the richly enchanting tones of 'Misdemeanour' and 'Altered Destiny' swiftly serenade the listener at every opportunity. This is a true epitomisation of the definition of a complete package and one that has so far had a strong response from the duo’s peers and heroes within the scene, with a call from Dillinja to Goldie justifiably being the icing on the cake.

Beginning his musical production career with drum and bass / breakbeats in the late 90’s, ASC became known for his editing abilities and intricate productions. James progressed rapidly with his intuitive talent enabling him to grow into one of the scenes most respected ‘intelligent’ producers of his era with a series of releases - most notably on his own label Covert Operations, Good Looking, 720 Degrees and Paradox’s Outsider label.

Around 2010, ASC became an integral part of the Autonomic sound with an LP on Instra:mental’s Non Plus label, James’ production was reduced into a new form and breakbeats became less and less integral to his sound.

With a recent resurgence in golden era sounding Drum and Bass / Jungle, we began planting seeds to draw James back into flex his considerable editing prowess with 20 years of production experience to draw on.

Once lured into his hard drives to dig out breaks, ‘An Exact Science’ flowed rapidly and effortlessly for James. Covering several prevalent sounds of the most revered era of DnB but propelling them into 2020, the EP once again reminds us that ASC can turn his skill and ear to any sound and make it his own. From the soaring luminous amenism of Moment of Truth to the dead eye precision of In The Shadows and Worlds of Ice, James injects a sensibility that elevates the tracks on An Exact Science into a place of their own, belying any historical anchors attached to their vibe.

An Exact Science is a fantasy of long time ASC fans have had for many years (ourselves included) come to life with results that surpass our imagined results.

ASC - In The Shadows

Hailing from Vienna, Austria, the dynamic sounds of Carter land on Smooth N Groove Records with his highly anticipated 'Earth' LP. With an impressive back catalogue and previous releases on some of the scenes most iconic labels, from the likes of Good Looking, JazzSticks, Soul Deep, Liquid V, Fokuz, Celsius and Influenza to name a few. Known for his unique unmatched sounds, Carter takes influences from Soul, Jazz and Hip Hop and as predicted his sublime debut release on the imprint does not disappoint.

The 'Earth' LP features 10 tracks loaded with musical grooves, crisp drums, deep bass lines and those incredible funky signature Carter vibes. Soul Deep Exclusives and Flowrian are proud to present the Granite & Dandelions EP, which is now available in all major digital stores and streaming sites.  Flowrian, who hails from Switzerland, has made a name for himself with previous releases on Soul Deep, Jazzsticks, Good Looking, Flight Pattern, Fokuz and Celsius.  He returns to Soul Deep, with a solid 2 track release, that shows off his progression as a producer.  Flowrian takes his engineering to another level for his release on Soul Deep, blending sounds together to create a perfectly crafted and musical soundscape.  The title track, “Granite & Dandelions,” leads things off with it’s meticulously edited breaks, knocking percussion, squelching mid baselines, and haunting vocal samples.  The second track, “Edward the Hamster,” Is up next and features snappy drums, a laid back sub bassline, and sharp mid bass embellishments that add layers and textures to the song.  The elements create the perfect backdrop for the deep pads, and beautiful melodies that help accentuate the overall vibe of the tune.  The Granite & Dandelions EP is another wicked release for Flowrian!
