This is a mix of classic '90s deep house from Italy. I found most of these records in the early '90s in Ireland. The others came from digging in thrift stores and bargain bins all over the San Francisco Bay Area.

While visiting my mother's hometown of Georgetown, Guyana last year I stumbled across an amazing cd store (pictured). I purchased as much as I could and forgot about this til very recently when my boy Heems texted me asking about it. Saying he'd spoken to my friend Adam, who was with me in Georgetown, and he'd mentioned the music that i'd bought. 
So I decided to dig through, edit choice cuts and make a megamix. 
Featuring a range of disco, Bollywood, Reggae, Soul, Dub, Rock, Rap. This is the multicultural landscape of Guyana.

A nifty new release from a long-time AAA member of the Classic clan, James Curd (formally of Greenskeepers) joins forces with a slightly newer face, Shaun J Wright. You will remember Shaun from his first Classic release ‘Matters Of The Heart’ with frequent collaborator and Twirl head Alinka which made a splash in 2015 and was remixed by The Black Madonna. In ‘Now I Believe’ James moves out of his modern day disco sound into a fresh take on the Classic. Reminiscent of Derrick Carter and Chez Damier’s ‘Hope’, this bumps ever so slightly into the right side of tech, with Shaun’s vocal giving it some warmth and soul. Already being played to death by Honey Dijon and Luke Solomon, this is set to be another special moment for the harmonious Classic family.
