War of words was formed in Helsinki, Finland back in 2003 by Mari (guitar/vocals), Jocke (bass/vocals) and Olli (drums). The band played many gigs around Finland and released a 8-song CD to be sold at gigs which later was released as a vinyl 12” by Kämäset levyt in 2004.

In the spring of 2004 the band did a small tour of Sweden and Norway together with Abductee S.D (Swe), Olli was not able to play on this tour and Anssi played drums instead. In the summer they toured Germany (again with Olli on drums) and in the fall of 2004 they toured Finland, again with Abductee S.D, after this tour Olli was replaced by Jarno.

Later in the fall they toured the north of Finland. In the beginning of 2005 the band was not very active but played occasional gigs and made some new songs. Then nothing happened…

...until the summer of 2014 when the band started to talk about playing again and in September of 2014 they played their first two gigs for over nine years (in Helsinki and Turku) and more to come...
