Michael Webb has been a fixture to the Utah religious music scene in since the late 80's as one of the original Embryo Music/Highway Records signed label artist. Some may also remember Michael as the host of B98.7's popular Sunday Christian Music show. Having received numerous awards for his hit albums like "Walk On" and "Marvelous Light" and countless songs on the popular Especially for Youth albums, Michael has always had a heart for Jesus and the talent to share it though music. Since leaving the LDS Church, Michael now serves as the Director of Music & Worship Arts for his home church. This is Michael first original single to be released in over a decade, and this first song is a perfect reflection of the process Michael has been experiencing as he has continued on his faith walk and personal relationship with Jesus.  

#GrowingOlder is about the sanctification process that all Christians go through in life. This is what Michael wrote about his new hit song:
 
" I believe in evolution – the changing of a heart, the deepening of the soul, the renewing of the mind. The Biblical term for this would be Sanctification. I praise God that I have been justified by faith alone in the perfect and finished work of Christ alone, but I hope that as I look back over my life every few years there will be at least some evidence that I have grown more compassionate, more thankful, more faithful, more authentic, maybe even a bit wiser etc., Mostly, I just hope that with each passing year I look a little more like Jesus. That’s what this song is about.

In the spring of 1999, while finishing his freshman year of College, Drew Reese was part of a religious touring show Choir at Snow College. The theme of the spring tour was “Piercing the Darkness,” and Drew wrote this song while out on the road. That summer, Drew began recording the album “Next Door To Eden” and PTD became one of the last tracks recorded for this album project. Featuring Jenny Jordan Frogley on vocals.
