Waste Management was formed in 2001 by Steven Andersen, Greg Dawson, and Ryan Rey. The three musicians attended Dublin High School together and began jamming in the summer after their sophomore year. Drawing from their influences of classic rock, hard rock, alternative, and punk, they created numerous riffs and wrote three songs. These recordings are the culmination of a jamming, composing, and rehearsing over one weekend in August 2001.
