'Episode 8' was the first song that caught our attention and set thefoundation for this release. It felt like the perfect follow up to Joseph’s 'Eavesdrop', released on the 20 Years Cocooncompilation earlier this year. One of our very few shows in 2020 at Caprice has been the final testing ground for 'Episode 8' and the like-minded 'Cobalt'. Both tracks deliver plenty of energy for the dancefloors that we all miss so much and we can’t wait for you to hear these two on a big sound system. The eponymous track possesses a unique andtrippy composition that builds and multiplies in intensitybefore the break circles back to a burst of synaesthesia-inducing array of colors

Boasting an impressive triad of critically acclaimed releases since launching back in April 2022 (Here To Stay EP, Starlight EP and Disconnect), burgeoning underground house imprint Scenarios now looks to continue its enviable run of first-rate studio output as it unveils its fourth official offering, with Looking In The Sky.

Due for worldwide release on Friday, November 25, Looking In The Sky marks the first single on the label to feature all five constituent members of the Scenarios collective – Emanuel Satie, Maga, Tim Engelhardt, Sean Doron and Yulia Niko – who team up with Berlin-based vocalist Paul Brenning for one of the biggest records on the label to date.

Ebbing and flowing with hypnotic purpose, the spellbinding vocal cut delivers everything we’ve come to expect and more from the prolific collective, who continue to showcase their innate knack for creating deep, emotive and intelligent electronic music of the very highest calibre. A sophisticated and emotionally charged offering, characterised by dynamic synth structures, Brenning’s lingering vocals and a heady concoction of pulsating four-four beats, Scenarios’ trademark composite of deep, melodic, club music shines front and centre, as the six artists pull out all the stops with a rousing dancefloor weapon.

Established earlier this year as an all-encompassing artist collective, label and events brand, Scenarios has taken the electronic music world by storm over the course of 2022 with their intelligent, exquisitely crafted productions and instantly recognisable sound palette. Known the world over for their unique underground energy and standout live performances, the collective has forged a deep and melodic sound all of their own, which is as organic and ethereal as it is experimental. 

Paul Brenning is a German producer and singer-songwriter based in Berlin. Italian artist Stephan Jolk launches into the new year with an EP that sees him at his most intuitive yet. Debuting on Watergate Records in 2021, Stephan became a welcomed regular last year as a string of cuts held big appeal with the iconic label’s fans.

As a DJ, he’s on line-ups that guarantee a ceaseless supply of searing, high-octane techno cuts, from festivals DGTL, CRSSD and EXIT, to Watergate, Warung, Elrow, and Renaissance events. Through a bustling 2022 in his techno circles, Jolk tapped out to hone in on his deeper side, one which gives him steam to express the emotional qualities of electronic music.

At the core of Jolk’s invigorating EP is the theme of human connection and femininity, with the melodies speaking to the power of love, friendship and women as a source of inspiration. The two-tracker gets going with ‘Sleeping Beauty’, a vitalising cut with a heightening female chant that guarantees to lead euphoria among dancers. ‘Keep Going” is highlighted by another female vocal that comes through as a guiding presence over a mellow, stirring groove.

Dutch powerhouse Helsloot returns to Get Physical a year after his last outing with bold new single ‘Take Care.’

Thomas Helsoot is a revered underground presence with a famously melodic electronic sound that has taken him to labels like Poesie Musik, Domino, Astralwerks and Lane 8’s This Never Happened. He spent the first decade of his career working behind the scenes for artists like Diplo but has now fully established his own style. ‘Take Care’ is a sublime deep house cut with cavernous bass that sweeps you up from below.
